Hi, thanks for signing up (or volunteering to be a pitch hitter)! I'm excited about this exchange and can't wait to see what you'll come up with. This letter is meant to be an overview of the things I like, and aside from my DNWs, it's 100% optional.

Some of my requests and prompts might be short but please note that I want them just as much as my longer requests. I'm open to fic rated from G to E. In terms of fic length, I love anything from the small to long epics. For all of my requests, feel free to mix up the freeforms or prompts as you wish.

I like all kinds of genres and tone! Exploring emotions in narratives is a big draw for me, be it about dark themes or more lighthearted themes.

I love seeing how characters view the world around them and how they interact with others, positive or negative. Plotty fic would be great but I'm also just as happy with more introspective stories.

Smut Likes

As far as sex goes in general, I like any combination of anal, oral, rimming (for m/m), vaginal sex, breast/nipple play, handjobs, and fingering (in no particular order). I also enjoy slightly unrealistic sex. Sex that's unrealistic in terms of how much a character can come, how fast they can get it up, and handwaving that because it's magic/superpowers/alien biology is perfectly fine with me.

For vocabulary, I generally enjoy more explicit terms than flowery language and prefer "come" over "cum". Unless specified, I have no preferences about top/bottom dynamics. When it comes to smut, I love seeing focus on the emotions between characters, what the sex means for them, or general intense feelings.

By non-canon divergence, I mean alternate universes that change the setting and rules of the canon universe such as mundane AUs, A/B/O, IN SPACE! AUs, etc. or makes major changes to relationships such as making characters suddenly related (or vice versa).

Unrequested identity headcanons (gender, race, other) (Assuming flexibility with canon sexuality is fine.)

Kidfic (Defining kidfic to mean "fic where the characters get a non-canon kid"); Unrequested pregnancy (Mentions of background pregnant characters are fine.)

Permanent death of requested characters (Feel free to ignore this for IF based choice games.)

For underage characters, I'd prefer if there wasn't much kinking on how young they physically look. Remarking on their young person energy or lack of life experience is fine but I'd like to avoid "they look childlike" type of descriptions in sex scenes.

Choking (Hands/rope around neck)

Breathplay from oral sex or kissing is okay. Non-sexual choking in a regular fight scene is okay (especially if canon) as long as it's not focused on.

Bodily fluids (Scat, vomit, and watersports)

Spit, genital fluids, and drawing small amounts of blood during sex is okay.

Serious bodily harm in sex

Sex with violence on the level of face slapping, scratching, biting, or threat of harm with no serious injury (such as broken bones or anal tearing) is okay. Spanking until ass is red = OK; getting a black eye during sex = DNW.

Other kinks I DNW: feminization/crossdressing, body mods, daddy/mommy kink (specifically the word), contract/24-7 BDSM, object insertions (non-sex toy objects), weight gain/feeding/inflation, sounding, enemas.

SK8 the Infinity

Tadashi/Ainosuke | Adam

Why I requested it: I fell in love with this ship by the end of the show. They have such an interesting tangle of issues with their emotionally fraught past together between the betrayal and their conflict about class differences. So many elements of their relationship is catnip to me. They have an intense emotional bond even with their communication issues! There's so many missing scenes of their past together to play around with! They stay by each other’s side even when they have a rift in their relationship! We see them getting on the road to having a better relationship in canon!

Any kind of digging into their dynamic would be great. I think they have plenty of potential for anything ranging from angst to fluff. From their childhood to adulthood, all of that sounds amazing. I’m particularly interested in anything that touches on Tadashi’s tendency to repress his opinions and Ainosuke’s issues surrounding the concept of love (especially as it relates to Tadashi). Both of them were strongly effected by Ainosuke’s family’s decisions (Tadashi working for Ainosuke’s father is extra canon info that I love!) and it would be really cool to see more exploration of that in any direction.

In terms of their relationship status, I’m good with anything from “They had something when they were younger, but only recently started seriously dating again” to an on again/off again relationship to long term pining to something else I haven't thought of. The main thing is I’d prefer that they’re not seeing other people while in a committed relationship, that there’s no big focus on other partners in the meantime, and they’re not doing anything that would be considered cheating by the other even if pining is involved.

For the sex itself, if you're inclined to write it, I have no top/bottom preferences (both in the penetrative sense and a D/s sense, switching is also fine). I do like some mild pet play with them (Puppy as a nickname for Tadashi is cute!), but am also more than fine with things staying vanilla. I can see Ainosuke being very into Tadashi expressing his own opinions in bed, however small! Both of them seem like the type to be very into praise kink.

A note on timeline: Anything from pre-canon to post-canon is free game!

A note on other characters and ships: You can include anyone you like and I love the whole cast. For side ships, I'm fond of Reki/Langa and Joe/Cherry, but that's totally optional.

The Folk of the Air - Holly Black

Jude Duarte/Cardan Greenbriar

Why I requested it: I love both Jude and Cardan so much, both as characters and as a couple! I love Jude's refusal to give up and her determination to claw out a place for herself in such a hostile fantasy world. I love Cardan's way with words and how he grows into unexpectedly becoming the king thanks to Jude. They're very messy together, and I adored how their relationship came together over the course of three books. There's so many appealing tropes between them with their us-against-the-world vibe and their reluctant falling in love with all of the bitter feelings and suprising understanding.

I also love the fantasy world that Holly Black gives us in the books and would love to see anything relating to the dark fairy tale themes and the unsettling bits of worldbuilding that make it so dangerous to mortals if you're inclined. For their relationship in specific, I'd love to see anything from fluffy to darker themes (including dubcon/noncon).

A note on timeline: I have a strong fondness for Jude/Cardan's dynamic in TCP and early TWK, but any period of their relationship would be great to see, including post-canon. (Feel free to take a different spin on their married life than the novella if you'd like.)

A note on other characters and ships: Feel free to have them interact with whoever you like, including OCs if the story calls for it. For more specifics, I find Jude and Cardan's relationships with their family members to be fascinating. To be more specific, Jude's relationship with her sisters, Madoc, or her mother and father are all things I love seeing. On Cardan's side, seeing anything with Dain, Balekin, or his mother would be interesting.

For ships, I'm open to anything. Background Tayrn/Locke, Tayrn/Ghost, Vivi/Heather, Madoc/Eva (or Eva/Justin) are all ones that I'd find great to see show up, but other ships that I haven't thought of (including non-canon ones!) are also awesome.

I loved the curse at the end of QoN and it would be fun to see the two of them dealing with more Fae curses. Does it have to do with them being tied to the land? Does one of them have to go to suprising lengths to save to other? Or maybe instead of it damaging them, it's damaging their people?

Time loops! Do one or both of them get stuck in a loop for any point in canon? How do they end up getting out of it?

Soulbonds feel like such a natural thing to add for this canon and I'd love to see how it happens with Jude and Cardan and how they feel about it once they figure out it can't easily be removed. Are there any side effects?

Jumping off from soulbonds, what about soulmarks? Is it a mortal only thing, or does Cardan grow up with a soulmate mark, either knowing or is suprised realizing that Jude is his soulmate?

Consider this my general prompt for Dain and Balekin to mess with Jude and Cardan. Maybe one of them uses Jude against Cardan, or they force them to do it, or they get their revenge in some other way somehow.

Anything smutty to do with Jude and Cardan. Sex Pollen? Maybe they have to fuck or die for Reasons? Or, they're simply enjoying having sex together, take your pick! Any range of consent is fine.

Worldbuilding

Why I requested it: There's so many cool things to explore with this world! Consider this a blank check to explore whatever you want, but if you want some ideas I'd be especially interested in seeing how the Fae in the mortal world operate, or anything related to history in Elfhame, or anything with how mortals live among the Fae. The Monstrumologist Series - Rick Yancey

Will Henry & Pellinore Warthrop, Will Henry/Pellinore Warthrop

Why I requested it: I find Will Henry and Pellinore's relationship to be super interesting! I would gladly read fic of them having adventures together looking for monsters or just existing next to each other. They play off of each other in such interesting ways while Will Henry assists Pellinore in studying monsters. They’re both lonely people in need of companionship, even if they struggle to articulate that in words, and they understand each other in ways that no one else can. There’s so much intense feeling between them even in their most fraught estranged moments and I’d be overjoyed to read anything about them.

I'm more than fine with a dark tone being present considering the themes of the series. I have no problem seeing Will Henry and Pellinore in a relatively happy moment or seeing them be highly dysfunctional or anything in-between. Completely platonic or shippy, both are great!

A note on timeline: I'd prefer that the first three books happen the same as they did in canon (unless prompted otherwise).

For The Final Descent you can do anything you like. Want to write a fic set during the book's events (or heavily related to the book's events) and explore their relationship there? Great! Want to cherry-pick the canon you want to keep or alter (such as the fire not being fully successful at burning everything down or other departures from canon) for your story without writing a fix-it fic (or you do want to write one)? Note: For this canon, I’m perfectly fine with description of blood and painful injuries as it’s canon typical (along with monsters dying as they do in canon). I’d prefer that all injuries in the fic for Will Henry and Pellinore Warthrop give them scars at worst. Getting a bloody cut across the chest or a broken bone that eventually heals in the end = OK; one of them loses a limb = DNW. Having Will Henry dwell on losing his finger as in canon is also fine. You can have random side characters (including original characters) lose limbs or die in scary ways.

Worldbuilding

Why I requested it: I find the worldbuilding for this series to have a lot of interesting potential so you basically have a blank check to explore whatever you want here! Describe the history of Monstrumologists or give facts about various monsters around the world! You really can't go wrong here and I'd be thrilled to see anything.
