Dear Trick or Treater,

Hi, thanks for signing up (or volunteering to be a pinch hitter)! I've been looking forward to this exchange and I'm super excited to get anything for my ships or solo characters here!

Some of my requests and prompts might be short but please note that I want them just as much as my longer requests. Don't worry about fitting my prompts exactly in any of my requests as I welcome different ideas with my requested pairings. This letter is meant to be an overview of the things I like, and aside from my DNWs, it's 100% optional. All my requests are for fic, but I am open to both fic and art treats for any request. Thanks for taking a look at my letter and I hope you have an enjoyable time creating!

Overview

• I'm open to fic rated from G to E. In terms of fic length, I love anything from the small to long epics. For all of my requests, feel free to mix up the freeforms or prompts as you wish.

• I like all kinds of genres and tone! Exploring emotions in narratives is a big draw for me, be it about dark themes or more lighthearted themes.

• I love seeing how characters view the world around them and how they interact with others, positive or negative. Plotty fic would be great but I'm also just as happy with more introspective stories.

Smut Likes

• As far as sex goes in general, I like any combination of anal, oral, rimming (for m/m), vaginal sex, breast/nipple play, handjobs, and fingering (in no particular order). I also enjoy slightly unrealistic sex. Sex that's unrealistic in terms of how much a character can come, how fast they can get it up, and handwaving that because it's magic/superpowers/alien biology is perfectly fine with me.

• For vocabulary, I generally enjoy more explicit terms than flowery language and prefer "come" over "cum". Unless specified, I have no preferences about top/bottom dynamics. When it comes to smut, I love seeing focus on the emotions between characters, what the sex means for them, or general intense feelings.

• Overview — This is more geared towards mutual feelings dubcon (of the sex pollen, something makes them do it, or accidentally sleeping with each other type with no intentional aggressor) between a ship (feel free to draw from my darker consent issues likes as well as long as feelings are present). Anything in my above smut likes list is also free game.

• Outside Forces — Sex pollen (one or both parties are affected) ○ Something Made Them Do It ○ Heat sex

• Mutual Dubcon Feelings — Pining from both characters, reveal of feelings, or the dubcon being the catalyst of feelings realization ○ Guilty feelings (for not being able to resist the outside force; that they're enjoying it) ○ Wanted it but not like this

• By non-canon divergence, I mean AUs that change the setting and rules of the canon universe such as mundane/modern AUs, omegaverse, etc. or makes major changes to relationships such as making characters suddenly related (or vice versa).

• Unrequested identity headcanons (gender, race, other) (Assuming flexibility with canon sexuality is fine.)

General thoughts: I went into the prequel not knowing what to expect but ended up loving it on so many levels! I enjoyed the look at the Captiol’s early days before it achieved the power and glitz it has in the trilogy. I loved the sense of inevitable tragedy we got from the narrative, along with the innate goodness vs evil themes, and the Games being somewhat rustic in comparison to the original trilogy. All the major characters were compelling to me, especially when we got to see how their actions made the pieces fell into place for the original trilogy to happen while at the same time it made me think how things could’ve gone differently. More of the characters and worldbuilding in general, including all kinds of canon divergent AUs, would be great!

Request-specific DNWs/clarifications:

• DNW Exception: I'm fine with permanent character death involving Lucy Gray and/or Sejanus' canon deaths.

• DNW Exception: Canon typical violence is fine! As a rule of thumb, as long as the requested characters' injuries can be healed by advanced technology and they don't experience non-canon limb loss, you can do what you want.

Lucy Gray Baird

Why I requested it: Lucy Gray definitely ended up being one of my favorite characters for Ballad! Everything we see of her is filtered through Coriolanus’ highly biased POV and I’d love to see more exploration of who she is as a person. I see her as someone who wants to see the best in people and holds onto goodness as an ideal, but is also aware that it sometimes takes manipulation to get an outcome that works, and knows how to survive after experiencing so many tragic losses in her life. She seems to thrive being with other people and loves crowds and knows how to present herself to people as we see in the story. Lucy Gray’s Games were brutal and I can very easily imagine that had an impact on her. We don’t get an answer on if she survived the events of the book, but if you want to assume she did and explore what happens next for her, then please do.

Anything expanding on Lucy Gray would be wonderful!

• Lucy Gray singing—with the Covey, by herself, her relationship to songs, songs that carry a special meaning to her, etc.

• Lucy Gray surviving the events of Ballad. Where does she end up going and what does she make of her life? Does she end up in District 13? Somewhere else?

Tigris

Why I requested it: Tigris truly seems to be the best of the Snow family and I love how kind she is along with her passion for fashion. Tigris gives me the impression she’s extremely loyal to her family and hardworking. I’d be really interested to see more of Tigris’ life in the Capitol and how her loyalties sway over time the further her relationship with her cousin falls apart. What happens to Tigris in those decades we don’t see her between Ballad and the trilogy?

We see in the trilogy that she’s modified herself to look like a tiger, perhaps the most extremely modified person we see in the series, and I’m really curious what convinced her to take on such a look. As for the rebellion, I’d love to see how she gets in contact with the movement and what she does to help with the cause. Also, I enjoy the idea of Tigris being attracted to women. It certainly doesn't have to be a whole fic, but even a throw-away line mentioning it would make me happy to see.

Anything expanding on Tigris as a character would be great!

• Tigris moving up in the Capitol’s fashion world over time.

Coriolanus Snow & Tigris

Why I requested it: Tigris and Coriolanus are such wildly different people in terms of having empathy for others and yet you really get the sense that Coriolanus considers Tigris to be a very close family member, at least in the beginning. They grew up together in a time of hardship and have been through plenty of upsetting events. I also get the sense that Tigris tried her best to look after Coriolanus when they were younger. I’d love to see more of their bond and how they saw each other as their lives began to diverge in very different directions. There's a lot of tragedy considering what happens in the future, but also I'd love to see their happier moments!

Prompts:

• Anything on them growing up together during the war and in the aftermath of the war! Or maybe early childhood moments together before their family lost their fortune due to the war.

• The moments Coriolanus cared for Tigris, however he went about that. Or, anything on how he sees his relationship with Tigris over time.

• Tigris taking care of a sick Coriolanus and vice versa. I would especially love to see any expansion on this moment mentioned in canon: “He thought of the time he had collapsed and lain in the street with the swan flu and no one, no one would stop to help. • Celebrating either one’s birthday together. What they try to get for the other for celebration, how their birthday celebrations change over the years, etc.

• Tigris realizing that Coriolanus is not who she thought he was. What was the inciting point to their falling out?

Lucy Gray Baird/Coriolanus Snow

Why I requested it: These two fascinate me on so many different levels!! I love how doomed their relationship is in canon while at the same time they have fleeting moments of happiness before it comes crashing down. The what-if of different choices that could’ve been made lingers and it clearly leaves its mark on the both of them after everything that happens.

What draws me to them the most is how much falling in love unbalances Coriolanus' sense of control while at the same time he’s obsessed with someone who embraces freedom. On Lucy Gray’s side, I love how much is left in the air as to what their relationship really was to Lucy Gray. We don’t receive an explicit answer as to how much was it pure manipulation for the sake of survival and how much of it was genuine feelings from the start, but I most favor the idea that the answer lies somewhere in the middle ("I love all kinds of things I don’t trust. Thunderstorms . . . white liquor . . . snakes."). There’s a lot of interesting gray area for them and I’d love to see that explored.

For what I like about Coriolanus, I’m interested in how he’s such a paranoid and possessive person with a lot of glaring flaws, but even so, there's the possibility that he could've made better choices in his life. For what I like about Lucy Gray, I see her as someone who tries to see the good in others but also knows how to survive and use tricks to do so. Both of them are performers and I loved the parallel drawn with both of them being called victors. I'd love to see anything from them having a more positive connection to them hating each other but having feelings despite it all to anything between.

How it happens is really up to you and I'm happy to mix and match with my prompts! Consider me opting into smut if you want to go there.

• The cheating is never discovered and Lucy Gray stays in the Capitol. They get married and Coriolanus becomes President, with Lucy Gray becoming the First Lady.

Lucy Gray Baird/Sejanus Plinth/Coriolanus Snow

Why I requested it: What draws me to this poly ship is the fact that I love all three of the characters and I think there’s a ton of (however messy) potential for them to have a lot of interesting interactions when all three of them are thrown together in a situation!

I see Sejanus and Lucy Gray clicking fairly well when it comes to matters of rebellion and the fact they're both District! They both have a strong connection to Coriolanus in the story with Sejanus considering himself his best friend and Lucy Gray having an ill fated romance with Coriolanus. On Coriolanus' end, I can see him coming to consider both of them as “his” and deciding he will have both of them. I’m really interested in seeing how things would develop if certain events happen and they end up getting together, be it established Coriolanus/Lucy Gray letting Sejanus join or something else. For the longer term, I’d love to see the more personal emotions between the three of them be it them managing to work something out or things falling apart because of lack of trust, paranoia, etc. 

Anything from first get-together to a longer term relationship would be amazing, including an angsty falling out to happy endings. Consider me opting into smut if you want to go there. Also, please feel free to use and mix together prompts from related ship sections (such as adding Lucy Gray to a Coriolanus/Sejanus idea and so on) if you want to go there!

Sejanus Plinth/Coriolanus Snow

Why I requested it: I really love how interestingly layered this relationship is! What immediately grabbed my attention with them was Sejanus being from a well off family while still being seen as an outsider to the Capitol due to originally being from District 2 while Coriolanus is born Capitol even while he pretends that his family still retains its wealth to keep the status of his family reputation. They’ve known each other for such a long time, too! That long term exposure to each other is really appealing to me.

For the relationship itself, I found it interesting how Coriolanus is very disdainful of Sejanus in his thoughts and yet they've managed to interact enough that Sejanus considers him a best friend. What also got me was how happy Coriolanus was to see Sejanus when he thought all hope was lost. Sejanus on his end is very friendly towards Coriolanus and is awfully trusting of him even when that ends up being his downfall. I found it really easy to imagine that Sejanus had something of a crush on Coriolanus even if he supported Coriolanus being happy with Lucy Gray (“Gorgeous. Trust me, that lip’s working for you, soldier.”). They could go into so many directions and I’d be into anything from angst to something happier between them.

As far as timeline goes, I'm happy for anything pre-canon, to something during canon, to something post-canon. Regarding Lucy Gray, I'm fine with handwaving her never getting reaped, her and Coriolanus's relationship not working out, or not being rekindled after the Games and stretching out the timeline a bit to give Coriolanus and Sejanus more one on one interaction while they're Peacekeepers. Consider me opting into smut if you want to go there.

How it happens is really up to you and I'm happy to mix and match with my prompts!

Prompts:

• Coriolanus changes his mind about the jabberjay.

  • Or, Coriolanus thinks he’s getting a confession about being rebellious from Sejanus and gets a romantic confession instead.

• Sejanus seems like he’s getting very close with another classmate or other Peacekeeper. Coriolanus finds this unacceptable and decides to stake a claim on him.

Volumnia Gaul/Coriolanus Snow

Why I requested it: I was not expecting this relationship going into the book but it grabbed me! Gaul’s relationship with Coriolanus has such a profound impact throughout the story and you can practically track his moral descent by how he thinks of her going from fear/hatred to grudging agreement to (however reluctantly) embracing her as a mentor in his life. Even while Coriolanus manipulates others, Gaul keeps a clear hold on him and nudges Coriolanus down a path that he doesn’t come back from. The scene where Gaul welcomes him back from his summer “vacation” was so wonderfully unsettling. In short, I am very here for all the weird evil mentoring going on between them!

Have Coriolanus hate her but having to put up with her weird interactions with him or he’s somewhere in-between hating her and under her sway in their relationship, or maybe he admires her in a twisted way. I’m happy for anything from during the main events of the book, something of them post the main events of the story, or after the epilogue when Coriolanus is about to become president or his early days of being president. I’m opting into smut if you’d like to go there.

How it happens is really up to you and I'm happy to mix and match with my prompts!

• Gaul offers Coriolanus the chance to explain himself with tricking the snakes to not harm Lucy Gray instead of going directly to Highbottom about it.

Jay Gatsby/Nick Carraway

Why I requested it: I’ve always thought that it’s very easy to read Nick as having feelings for Gatsby and I’d love to see exploration of that. Gatsby and Nick have great chemistry together and I’m open to a pretty wide variety of interpretations for them! I’m interested in anything from something happy to angsty. It can also be entirely one-sided Nick at Gatsby (or it’s left ambiguous). Nick has a pretty glowing view of Gatsby in the book and I can easily get behind the idea that Gatsby has a meaner side if you want to go to a darker place (or not, if you’d rather write something more positive/fluffy between them!). I’m also happy to get smut.

A note on other characters and ships: For other ships, I’m fine with canon ships being heavily present (including Gatsby staying with Daisy by the end of the fic) considering the canon as long as the emotional focus is on Nick/Gatsby on some level. With Daisy, I'd prefer Gatsby and Daisy's failed romance in the past to have been a thing as it starts the whole plot, but you can handwave (or not) as much as you like beyond that for the sake of the fic. Maybe Daisy never shows up for the tea party, or Gatsby starts seeing Nick in the middle of seeing Daisy, or Nick and Gatsby get together after Daisy decides to stay with Tom are just a few examples I'd enjoy!

General thoughts: For what I like about this canon, I really enjoy the dystopia elements of people from poor districts having to fight to the death while the Capitol thinks it’s a great time. I’m also a very big fan of wondering what happens after to the victors that do survive their games and how they learn to live between their district vs the Capitol in various ways which is an element I’d love to see for any character requested. As a general note, I have a preference for book based descriptions and sequence of events.

For all of my requests, I’m down with stretching out the canon timeline a bit so the rebellion takes a few more years to get going, or it never happens, or it happens but in a way that doesn’t involve district 13 if you want to explore more of the victor characters dealing with the Capitol, but want more space to do so given the timeline for whatever reason.

For my solo character requests, I'm 100% fine with the characters having relationships with random OCs as part of a character study for the requested character!

Request-specific DNWs/clarifications: 

• DNW: Finnick/Annie and Katniss/Peeta being endgame in the requests where Finnick and Katniss are explicitly being paired with someone else in their respective pairings. I’m fine with Finnick/Annie or Katniss/Peeta being a relationship that doesn’t work out during the course of the fic (or before the start of the fic) or it simply never happened, or even that Annie or Peeta didn’t survive their games. Of course, for all other requests, I’m fine with their canon ships being a side thing.

• DNW: Clients (including in my Finnick/OMC request) buying Finnick for the purpose of having sex portrayed as romantic. Having it happen as a general bad time for Finnick is fine. (I'm also fine with clients assuming that it's romantic on their end as long as Finnick's internal thoughts don't agree.)

• DNW Exception: Canon typical violence is fine! As a rule of thumb, as long as the requested characters' injuries can be healed by advanced technology and they don't experience non-canon limb loss, you can do what you want.

• DNW Exception: Noncon in the context of victors dealing with clients is fine!

• DNW Exception: For Annie post-canon, including my Annie/Finnick request, Annie being pregnant is fine, and I'm also fine with handwaving away her pregnancy if you'd like to do so.

Finnick Odair

Why I requested it: I really adore Finnick and he’s easily one of my favorite characters of the entire series. I love his being flirty, and aware of how good-looking he is, and knowing how to work a crowd to have the reaction he wants. I also adore the sheer whump that is him having to sleep around to protect his loved ones but also collecting secrets. Regarding his sleeping with clients, I’m fine with it starting when he’s a teenager (maybe even shortly after his games) but he can also be older when that becomes a thing depending on what you want to write! 

There’s a couple of things we know about him, but plenty of things we only hear about after the events happened which to me is endless fodder for fic considering how many different ways you can spin a known canon event he experienced. I’d love to see canon exploration, from pre-canon events, to in the middle of things, to post-canon AUs. Canon divergent AUs would be fun as well! Basically, go wild!

Prompts: 

• What’s his family life like? Was he a favorite child of his parents or not? What about siblings, aunts/uncles, etc.? Did he have a falling out with some (or all) of them when he became a victor? Or maybe he’s largely estranged and his only real family is Mags, Johanna, and Annie? What does his victor family look like?

• Was Finnick a volunteer, or reaped, and/or a chosen Career candidate? If he was a Career, how was his training? Did he have to convince the others to let him volunteer at a young age? What did he feel in the lead up to his games?

• The games themselves! Who were his allies, what kills did he make, was there an extremely close call in the arena, etc.? Post his games, how did he deal with all the media attention on him, the aftermath of having just survived a death game, dealing with trauma—unexpected or otherwise, being flirted with by creeps or possibly being sold at a young age shortly after the games. Was he aware of it being a possibility and tried to prepare?

• His life at 4. What were his favorite spots in the district, how did the district treat him when he returned home, how does he feel about his district several years after he’s gone back and forth between it and the Capitol?

• His life at the Capitol. Were there any favorite spots there? Did he make any friends/allies? I’d also be interested in him manipulating crowds, individual Capitolites, learning Capitol lingo to blend in, etc.

• Finnick as a mentor. What was his first time mentoring like? Was there a loss of a tribute that really got to him? What are the things he’s done to get sponsorships to tributes?

• Finnick as a victor. Him connecting to other victors, clashing with other victors, unexpected relationships he didn’t see coming, etc.

• Him and Snow. We know their relationship wasn’t so great for Finnick, but I’m curious as to how their relationship evolved over the years. Did Finnick go from a scared kid to knowing he’ll do anything to bring Snow down? Did Snow have to make occasional reminders for Finnick to behave?

• Finnick being sold. The secrets he collects, his “favorite” clients, his worst experiences, the first time he had to sleep with a client, maybe some of his clients have no idea he’s unwilling and it’s a mindfuck for him, Finnick dealing with liking some of what his clients do to him and that just makes it worse in a way, Finnick learning how to be appealing to clients/repressing his negative reactions, what happens the one time he doesn’t suppress his reaction well enough, etc.

• Going off the above, what are his feelings about sex? I can see it becoming a loaded topic for him. How does he feel about consensual sex, is it difficult for him to keep that separate from his experience with clients, how Finnick expresses attraction in general or feel about having attraction aimed at him, etc.

• Sex pollen! He’s made to take it for a client, or he takes himself to deal with clients, or Capitolites think it would be fun to spike Finnick’s drink...

• Catching Fire AU: The rescue never comes and Finnick wins the Quarter Quell for better or worse.

• Mockingjay AU: Finnick survives the fight with the mutts and lives to see the end of the rebellion. Finnick adjusts to his new life. (Alternatively, he’s scarred up by the fight and learns to live with his conventional good looks being marred.)

Haymitch Abernathy

Why I requested it: I love Haymitch so much, he’s definitely one of my favorites in these books! To name a few reasons why, I love his craftiness, the way he’s managed to keep going after surviving the biggest Games ever, and the prickliness that covers up his caring for the people he loves. He managed to cheat the Games and metaphorically flipped the Capitol and Snow off! And then there’s the years in-between his Games and the trilogy where he eventually becomes held in distain by District 12 and the Capitol, which we don’t see in detail, but he clearly had a rough time.

I think there’s tons of material to explore for Haymitch and I’d enjoy seeing any idea you might have for him! I’d love to see canon exploration, from pre-canon events, to in the middle of things, to post-canon AUs. Canon divergent AUs would be fun as well. Basically, go wild!

• What was Haymitch’s life like in District 12 before his Games? What was his family like and what about the girl he loved? How does his relationship to District 12 and his family (before they get killed) change after his Games?

• Haymitch keeping the people he’s lost in his memories, mourning them in his own way, keeping their memories alive in whatever way he can, etc.

• Catching Fire AU: The reading of the new rule goes differently and Haymitch must teach Katniss and Peeta how to mentor for District 12.

• Haymitch as a mentor. What was his first time mentoring like? Was there a loss of a tribute that really got to him? What are the things he’s done to get sponsorships to tributes?

• Haymitch as a victor. Him connecting to other victors, clashing with other victors, unexpected relationships he didn’t see coming, etc.

• Anything of Haymitch and his relationship to Katniss and Peeta! I love the bond the three of them share.

Johanna Mason

Why I requested it: I think Johanna is such a great character in this series! I love her anger against the Capitol, her friendship with Finnick, and the fact that she has lost so much but keeps going to fight for a better world even when she’s so jaded by her life experiences. She’s the only female victor we see out of District 7 and I’m really interested in exploring more about her life and how she dealt with the trauma of the Games. There’s tons about her life we only see mentioned as an aside and I’d love to see more fleshing out of her important life moments along with little moments giving more insight to her character. Katniss’ POV gives the impression that Johanna intentionally played a weakling to reveal a more cutthroat personality later and I’m interested in exploring to what degree that was true and how Johanna felt through her Games regardless of the path you take with that!

Also, I enjoy the idea of Johanna being attracted to women. It certainly doesn't have to be a whole fic, but even a throwaway line mentioning it would make me happy to see!

• Johanna as a mentor. What was her first time mentoring like? Was there a loss of a tribute that really got to her? What are the things she’s done to get sponsorships to tributes?

• Johanna as a victor. Her connecting to other victors, clashing with other victors, unexpected relationships she didn’t see coming, etc.

• Johanna rebelling however she can against the Capitol—in petty ways and in less petty ways.

• It’s a popular fandom take that Johanna had to take on clients at least for a little while. Something exploring that would be interesting!

• What were Johanna’s feelings when the reading of the card for the third Quarter Quell happened? How did she react to the 74th Games and District 12’s win?

Mags

Why I requested it: Mags, for all the relatively short amount of page time we get for her, is such a wonderful character to me! She’s one of the oldest victors we see in the books and I can’t help but want more of her life and the things she must’ve experienced in the years that’ve gone by with the Games. Mags is part of a known Career district and I think it’s quite probable that she helped set that up for District 4 when she was younger. Please give me more of Mags and her perspective on things, anything from the rebellion to the volunteers/victors she mentors to the early days of the Games to everything in between.

As a note, I would love to see Ballad canon taken into account, but I’m also fine with going in a different direction with worldbuilding if you’d rather do that! Also, I enjoy the idea of Mags being attracted to women. It certainly doesn't have to be a whole fic, but even a throw away line mentioning it would make me happy to see!

• Mags starting Career training for her district. Does she get pushback, does she have to sell the idea to Snow, how do the early years go for the district, etc.

• Time Loop: Mags wakes up at any point in the canon and suddenly has tons of knowledge from a future point and can save loved ones, kick-start a full-fledged rebellion even earlier, etc.. Annie Cresta/Finnick Odair

Why I requested it: What interests me about their romance is how much the Games have twisted their relationship from Annie having heavy Games related PTSD to Finnick being forced to entertain clients and pretend that he doesn’t love a girl back home. I’d love to see how they make a life together despite the Capitol interfering. I get the sense they’re both headstrong survivors who want to protect their loved ones and fell in love despite so many things working against them.

As for what I like about Finnick, I love how he manages to make the best of a truly awful situation. I see him as someone who’s very protective of the people he loves while being willing to perform to an assigned role and getting whatever leverage he can out of it. I love the idea of Annie being a grounding force for Finnick as he struggles to hold onto himself in the aftermath of his Games and needing to convince Snow that he’s not a threat on a long term basis.

We get so little of Annie outside of people writing her off as “mad” from the intense trauma she experienced in her Games and I would love to see exploration of who she is as a person underneath that. Annie comes across as a kind and strong person who has a firm sense of what’s right and I like the idea of her having some training as a potential Career volunteer. Something that explores the impact of that trauma and her recovery and how she takes back the agency that the Capitol took from her would be wonderful. I also like the idea of her having even a small part in helping the rebellion and/or helping Finnick and Mags in the Quarter Quell.

With her relationship with Finnick, I’d like to see how she crept up on him and how they fell for each other when it doesn’t sound like they loved each other right away. I’m good with both Finnick being her mentor or not being her mentor along with them knowing or not knowing each other before Annie gets reaped. Lots of interesting possibilities for them!

How it happens is really up to you and I'm happy to mix and match with my prompts! Consider me opting into smut if you want to go there.

Prompts:

• Finnick and Annie’s early days of knowing each other at any point in time. Did they ever clash or even compete with each other? What did Annie think of Finnick’s celebrity status as a victor and how did she react to the darker truth behind it? Did she ever run into him in Career training?

• Annie in the aftermath of her Games. Finnick coming along with Annie on her Victory Tour. What their relationship like while Annie settled into living at their Victor’s Village?

• Any of their relationship firsts! First kiss, first fight, first time having sex, first confession, the first moment one of them realized that they felt something for the other, etc.

• Mockingjay AU: Finnick survives to see the end of the war and he and Annie must learn to live in a world with no Games.

• Being out in the ocean together. Swimming, diving, going sailing, etc.

• How did they handle the Quarter Quell? What if Annie reunited with Finnick much earlier than she did in canon?

• Did Snow ever threaten to have Annie sold to clients? How did they handle that?

• Anything on Annie’s Games. How did Annie feel at any point in her Games?How did she do before the dam broke? What about notable things that happened in the middle of her swimming in the flood? Did Finnick mentor her? How did Finnick feel about any part of it, anything from the dam breaking to finding out that Annie won?

Finnick Odair/Original Male Character

Why I requested it: I’m really intrigued by Finnick falling in love with an original male character since there’s so many different ways to take it. Is it a positive relationship for Finnick and/or the OMC? (I’m fine with going dark if that’s where you want to go!) Is it casual or something more serious between them? Is the OMC from the Capitol or one of the districts, 4 or somewhere else?

I don’t have many strong preferences for the OMC so I’m happy for you to have fun with where they come from, their personality, how they look, etc. (but you can see some of my general dynamics likes here for inspiration if you’d like!). I also like when there’s a bit of an age difference, anywhere between five to twenty-ish years of difference but it’s up to you how that shakes out if you want to use the age gap idea.

I’m fine with smut, including smut where one or both are underage (as long as they’re both at least 14), along with dubcon smut. Dubcon such as clients and/or Snow making them do it, bad idea sex, etc. is entirely fair game! Noncon is also fine in cases where OMC is meant to be a bad guy/toxic love interest for Finnick such as OMC buying him for sex.

I don’t want Finnick/Annie to be endgame but having it a thing that eventually ends or never happens because reasons is fine!

Prompts: 

• Finnick and OMC know each other from 4. Maybe OMC was a victor when Finnick entered his games, or they were childhood best friends, or were competing against each other while training to be Careers...

• OMC clashes hard with Finnick when they’re both victors and Finnick refuses to let it go.

• OMC as a victor gets to know Finnick (from 4 or elsewhere) over the years and they strike up a strong friendship that starts to turn into something else.

• OMC is a Capitol citizen assigned to showing Finnick around in the early years of his victory. It becomes more than just a one-off thing.

  • Or, OMC is shipped off to do a job at 4 as a punishment and Finnick is asked to show him around the district. Or, OMC is a visiting victor from a different district and the same thing happens.

  • Or, they end up meeting because of the OMC taking a vacation of some kind at 4 (maybe OMC is a secret rebel?).

• OMC is sold the same as Finnick. Sometimes they share a client (or clients?), are made to have sex with each other, and/or end up bonding over their unpleasant experiences.

• The two of them dealing with the Hunger Games as mentors each year. What they each do to get sponsors for their tributes, trying (and maybe failing) to make each other feel better about losing a tribute that year, making ill-advised bets, using dark humor (that works or just makes one or both of them feel worse), trying to distract each other using sex, etc.

• OMC and Finnick are asked to fake date for ratings. It turns out there’s a real spark there.

  • Or, they keep running into each other promoting the Hunger Games or other Capitol related events. They show up in ads, live near each other in the Capitol, or they meet each other in passing while modeling, or they run across each other while at a party (maybe with one or both of them each on the arms of a client). 

  • Maybe one of their promotions is having to do a gameshow that recreates a harmless Hunger Games.

• OMC is a gamesmaker, arena designer, or another important person involved with Finnick’s games. Finnick has feelings about this and wants to lash out.

  • Alternatively, maybe he ends up having inconvenient feelings and that throws a wrench into his original plans.

  • Maybe OMC finds out about Finnick’s plans before he can go through it? Or, maybe he doesn’t?

• OMC is an ally of Snow’s and Finnick gets sent to him as a reward.

• OMC is an enemy of Snow’s and Finnick gets sent to him to find out his secrets for Snow.

• Finnick’s first time (with a guy or in general) is with the OMC. Maybe the OMC is Finnick’s first buyer, maybe the OMC offers to sleep with Finnick as an alternative to Finnick being forced to sleep with his first client soon, maybe they have their first time just because, etc.

• OMC buys Finnick, but with the intention of passing on rebel information instead of having sex and/or everyone thinks they’re having sex when it’s only a cover. But maybe sex eventually happens between them…

• For something darker, OMC buys Finnick for sex. Maybe OMC is obsessed with Finnick, sees him as a trophy, passes him around with friends, etc. Maybe it’s a multiple repeat (and potentially escalating) thing?

Haymitch Abernathy/Finnick Odair

Why I requested it: I really love this rarepair! In a lot of ways, I sort of see them as two sides of a coin. Haymitch is shunned as a victor, lives in an especially poor district, is largely ignored by the Capitol, and lost his entire family. Finnick, meanwhile, has a living family he wants to protect (be it Mags and/or others), lives in a Career district, and is in the spotlight of the Capitol’s attention. I think they could learn a lot of things from each other.

Mostly, I really want to see what comes of throwing them together and how their relationship goes from there. While we don’t get much on them on-screen, I think it’s safe to say they’ve interacted in passing over several years as victors and I’d love any expanding on that. Anything would be good, including smut and dubcon of the “bad guys made them do it” or “this is bad idea sex but we’re having it anyway” variety. I’m fine with Haymitch’s drinking addiction being relevant throughout but I’d rather not have Finnick knowingly take advantage of him while drunk (both being drunk/tipsy while having sex is fine!).

I don’t want Finnick/Annie to be endgame but having it a thing that eventually ends or never happens because reasons is fine!

Prompts: 

• After a particularly disastrous loss of both their tributes, they go drinking together. (Maybe their tributes had an alliance going on and died protecting each other, or something along those lines?)

• Finnick as a teen tries to guilt Haymitch into sleeping with him before he has to see his first client on the reasoning that they’re not close friends (all the easier to keep it from others) but he trusts Haymitch to make it decent.

  • Haymitch turns him down flat but it lingers between them over the years.

  • Haymitch is just tipsy or otherwise feeling sorry enough for Finnick that he gives in.

• Haymitch and Finnick are asked (read: forced) to show up at an annual Victors’ party celebration at the Capitol. They run into each other.

• The two of them dealing with the Hunger Games as mentors each year. What they each do to get sponsors for their tributes, trying (and maybe failing) to make each other feel better about losing a tribute that year, making ill-advised bets, using dark humor (that works or just makes one or both of them feel worse), trying to distract each other using sex, etc.

Haymitch Abernathy/Katniss Everdeen

Why I requested it: I find these two to have such a compelling dynamic in canon and I can't help but be interested in wondering what could happen if they took things further. Haymitch and Katniss strike me as being very similar, even if they don't particularly like how much they recognize certain traits in each other. Still, they have similar backgrounds and have established such a clear connection after all the time they've spent rebelling against the Capitol together. I loved Katniss getting to watch Haymitch’s games and gaining more insight into him and I loved Haymitch voting the same as Katniss in Mockingjay because he guessed that she had a plan in place. 

I’d like to see Haymitch eventually realizing that he’s grown attached to Katniss more than just in a platonic sense and Katniss realizing she has feelings for Haymitch. It’s unexpected and maybe not the happiest relationship with all of their respective issues, but I think it could really work. Or, they remind each other too much of themselves and that causes a fair amount of friction when they get together, that could also be pretty interesting!

I don’t want Katniss/Peeta to be endgame but having it a thing that eventually ends or never happens because reasons is fine!

Prompts: 

• Rebellion never happens and the two of them go on with Haymitch teaching Katniss to be a mentor, how to deal with the Capitol’s demands as a shiny new victor, or maybe they start their own rebellion without the help of 13.

• Catching Fire AU: The rules of the Quarter Quell turn out differently, and Haymitch has to teach Katniss how to be a mentor and get her on board with the rebellion. (Peeta still being alive or having died in the last games is good either way!)

  • If Peeta is alive, maybe Katniss has to struggle with keeping up the pretense that she loves Peeta to the audience while having growing feelings for Haymitch.

  • If Peeta is dead, maybe Katniss is still struggling with the grief/guilt of his death and latches onto Haymitch and finds something new between them.

• Haymitch and Katniss are asked (read: forced) to show up at an annual Victors’ party celebration at the Capitol.

• Snow gets it into his head he should make Katniss and Haymitch have sex as punishment.

• Haymitch teaches Katniss how to scare off potential clients once the possibility is raised of her being sold.

  • If the wedding or fake romance with Peeta in general is still on, maybe they get thrown together in occasional interviews and Katniss finds herself trying to balance feelings for Haymitch and trying to keep up the romance charade with Peeta.

Why I requested it:  I just really loved their friendship throughout the books. They’re peers among a group where plenty of people are much older than them and have a shared understanding of what it’s like to go through the Games. I’d love to see anything that explored their friendship and how they supported each other while in the Capitol. This is totally optional, but I’m fine with running with the popular fandom idea that Johanna was also sold to clients, and exploring how they share even that experience together. I also love them having snarky banter while caring deeply about each other underneath all the quips.

Anything of them and their friendship would be wonderful!

Prompts: 

• How did Johanna feel about Finnick sleeping with Capitol people? I can easily imagine that she hated the idea and looked down on him for sleeping with the “enemy”. How did she feel when she found out the truth?

• Snow gets rid of the last of Johanna’s family by ensuring one of her youngest relatives is reaped. Finnick helps her through the ordeal the best he can.

• Johanna helps Finnick take his mind off of being sold.

• After a particularly disastrous loss of both their tributes, they go drinking together. (Maybe their tributes had an alliance going on and died protecting each other, or something along those lines?)

• The two of them dealing with the Hunger Games as mentors each year. • I’d love to see the reunion they must’ve had when Johanna came back from the Capitol in Mockingjay! Or any moment of their friendship while in District 13, really.

Katniss Everdeen/Finnick Odair

Why I requested it:  I think these two have so much potential! As soon as they met in Catching Fire, I instantly liked the way they talked to each other along with Katniss gradually coming to accept Finnick as a real friend. I think Finnick sees Katniss so clearly, and as Katniss gets to know Finnick, she comes to understand him in turn. Finnick, to me, thrives off connecting with people while Katniss is more of a solitary person, but they both want to protect their loved ones, and I think they could help each other grow in a lot of ways. I’m very interested in however you’d like to make their romance happen! I’m opting into smut, if you’d like to go there.

I don’t want Katniss/Peeta and Finnick/Annie to be endgame but having it a thing that eventually ends or never happens because reasons is fine!

Prompts: 

• Catching Fire AU: The Quarter Quell goes differently. Maybe it goes on for much longer? Maybe Katniss and Finnick have to team up as a duo as they get separated from everyone else?

• The rebellion never gets off the ground or it fails and Finnick and Katniss have to go living life as victors mentoring for the next Games.

Katniss Everdeen/Peeta Mellark

Why I requested it: I love this pair so much and their journey to falling in love with each other despite all the things working against them! I love Katniss slowly but surely opening her heart to Peeta after having faith in his kindness and I love Peeta learning who Katniss really is as a person and the two of them working it out in the end.

As for what I love about Peeta, I greatly enjoy how kind he is, and how he uses manipulative tactics as a force for good, and almost immediately understands how to play the Games. As for what I love about Katniss, I love her caution around trying to get to know people she cares about, but even at her most distant, she still has moments of kindness towards others and deeply cares for Prim. I really enjoy how well matched they are to each other with Katniss’ skill at the bow and Peeta’s skill in playing the crowds.

I’d love to see all kinds of canon divergent AUs for them or moments that the canon never shows us!

• They start talking to each other more in-between Hunger Games and Catching Fire.

Why I requested it: Mags and Finnick is without a doubt one of my most favorite platonic relationships in the series. I love the strong bond they have with each other and how broken up Finnick was when he lost Mags. While we don't get a ton of time with Mags, it's very clear that she was a huge part of Finnick's life and Finnick tried his hardest to protect her in the arena. Digging more into their relationship would be wonderful and I’d love to see anything with them!

Prompts: 

• Mags and Finnick at 4. Mags being present in Finnick’s childhood, their first meeting, how they interact while at home in their district, etc.

• How did Mags interact with Finnick's family? Did Finnick's family butt heads with Mags or welcome her? Does any of that change after Finnick's Games? Or maybe Finnick's family had a very strained relationship with him? How does Finnick feel about Mags and his bio family and what does it mean she "practically raised him"?

• Mags training Finnick, either formally or in a casual sense. Was she the one that suggested he go into Career training? Did she object to the idea? How did she feel when Finnick was picked at the reaping?

• Mags doing her best to protect Finnick during his games. What she has to do to get sponsors to back him, trying to steer him away from death, how did she get his trident in the games to begin with, etc.

• Did Mags have any idea of what would happen to Finnick after his games? Did she try to prepare him for possibility, or was the one to deliver the news, and how does she feel about the whole awful situation? How does Finnick feel about any of the above?

  • Mags doing her best to get Finnick out of appointments with certain clients.

  • Mags doing her best to comfort Finnick after particularly bad clients.

• Mags teaching Finnick how to be a good mentor after he wins his games.

• Mags and Finnick joining the rebellion, helping 4 rebel, making plans for it, etc.

• Finnick taking care of Mags after her stroke. Or, Mags is able to communicate more, or recovers fully, and that changes things for the games somehow.

• Mags telling Finnick stories about her games, the world she lived in as a little girl, traditions that’ve been passed down, etc.

• Catching Fire AU: Mags survives to escape the arena. Her and Finnick end up in district 13 together.

• Time Loop: Mags (and/or Finnick) wakes up at any point in the canon and suddenly has tons of knowledge from a future point and can save loved ones, kickstart a full fledged rebellion even earlier, etc.. Or, on a darker note, it’s a time loop that starts falling apart the more they loop, or it keeps getting worse no matter how hard they try to fix things, etc.

The Locked Tomb Assorted Lyctors | Coronabeth/Ianthe

Assorted Lyctors [Augustine/Mercymorn/John, Augustine/Alfred, Augustine/Mercymorn]

Why I requested it: John and his Lyctors were one of the things I adored in Harrow! I'm all over the idea of a man being God and his devoted followers that eventually go astray. I love the glimpses of the Lyctors' relationships with their cavaliers we see in Harrow and the sense of tragedy that hangs over how they achieved Lyctorhood. None of them are good people and they all spend such a long time together (thousands of years!) that I'd love to see the complete mess that is their codependency and all the deeply fucked up power dynamics that unfold. (See bottom of post for DNW notes/exceptions!)

As far as smut goes, I'm very here for all kinds of fucked up but hot sex they could have with each other. Maybe they manage to find a new kink after a thousand years, or they find themselves leaning into more extreme kinks over time, or the sex is smashed together with a bunch of fraught emotional states. Or something involving John messing with their memories. Or anything else you want to explore!

For the timeline, I'll gladly take anything (including canon divergent AUs). It's all fascinating to me. For before the resurrection, I'm fine with A-- and M-- as is or for them to have different names.

I'm 100% fine with mixing and matching pairings even if they "conflict" with each other (such as Augustine/Mercymorn turning into Augustine/John/Mercymorn as an example). I can buy that they've all slept with each other at one point or another (including unrequested ships). For blanket requests for all given pairings in this subsection, I'd love to see anything involving the canon sexy parties, necromancy magic (including Mercymorn screwing with bodies), the whole deal with calling each other "sister"/"brother", and messed up but sexy gore (including during sex)!

Alfred Quinque/Augustine the First: I first latched onto the idea of this ship when Augustine didn’t directly deny the idea of his cavalier being his lover when Harrow asked. I find the concept of Augustine having a incestous relationship with his brother interesting and would be into just about anything with them (including smut)! We never get to see Alfred alive in Harrow, but he’s very much so on Augustine’s mind and I’d love to see more exploration of their relationship from when they first joined John to the aftermath of Augustine mourning his brother. I was really happy to get a crumb of information about Alfred in Nona and would love anything involving their pre-ressurection days. I gave a few general prompts, but please write whatever you see fit, I’d be happy with anything!

• (Post-Harrow) Augustine finds Alfred in the River.

• Something exploring Augustine being miserable without his brother. Maybe he has dreams of him which may or may not be real for Reasons?

• The early days of them being a necromancer and cavalier team.

Augustine the First/John Gaius/Mercymorn the First: I’ve been in love with this trio ever since I read Harrow for the first time. I was equally shocked and thrilled when the plan to distract John in Harrow ended up being Augustine and Mercymorn teaming up to make out with him! They’re all terrible people and yet Mercymorn and Augustine managed to team up to go behind John’s back. I’d love anything that explores their tangled relationship between all three of them, from Augustine and Mercymorn having moments of still loving John, to John not realizing that his Lyctors are scheming to kill him, to Augustine and Mercymorn figuring out a plan (however grudgingly). Anything with these three would be wonderful!

Prompts:

• Anything at all about their general dynamic in Nona. Being in the compound, John gradually losing it, M-- and A-- finding that they agree with each other, how they held hands...

• Augustine and Mercy somehow regain their memories (because of the River?) and John attempts to contain the fallout. Or maybe Augustine and Mercymorn getting strong moments of deja vu at random times and John handwaving it away for them. Memory fuckery in general as horror or as a point of angst highly welcomed!

• Anything involving dios apate (major or minor). And beyond!

• For something darker, maybe John once "jokingly" forced them to get along by making them Augustine and Mercy have sex together.

• Something where Augustine and Mercy mutually admit to being attracted to John and John overhears and things go from there.

• Did John ever suspect that something was going on between Mercymorn and Augustine?

Augustine the First/Mercymorn the First: This gut-punch of a quote from them got me good: "Oh, we’ll still hate each other, my dear, we have hated each other too long and too passionately to stop…but my bones will rest easy next to your bones." They're such a tangled mess of hatred and scheming over several thousand years and I'd love to see more of that on display. Anything involving them having sex together would be great!

Prompts:

• Anything involving their days together pre-resurrection. Dealing with cultists as scientists, having random hook ups to take their frustration out on each other, how they ended up meeting, working together, etc.

• Following the above, anything that compares (contrasts?) their pre-resurrection life with their lives as Lyctors. Or maybe they have a strong moment of deja vu but handwave it away...

• Show me the various times they lashed out at each other either in petty ways or in ways that would've ended in murder if they weren't Lyctors or maybe it was very rough hate sex. Or, what about the times they managed to grudgingly agree to a truce?

Coronabeth Tridentarius/Ianthe Tridentarius

Why I requested it: I fell in love with this ship ever since Corona cried about Ianthe not eating her. I love their weirdness so much and loved that Nona doubled down on that. Their canon interactions are so fascinating to me and I'd love to see anything exploring on that, from pre-canon interactions to in the middle of canon and what might come after, along with canon divergent AUs. I'm also very okay with smut, including dubcon!

Prompts:

• Living on the Third. Throwing parties, sleeping around, having a relationship, etc.

• Following with the above, I really like the thought of them dating other people in attempt to make the other jealous or telling each other about people they find hot and it gets weird. Maybe they tell each other about the things they did while sleeping with the other person, or random people start mysteriously being killed off, anything along those lines.

Why I requested it: These two are insane about each other and I feel so many emotions about that! The ending scene of the movie was perfect and said so much about their relationship. They're super dysfunctional from Fletcher giving Neiman a hard time always to Neiman being extremely determined to prove that he’s worth Fletcher’s attention and I’m all over that. Fletcher is Neiman's everything! Neiman is Fetcher's only Charlie Parker! They hate each other and yet still can’t escape each other’s orbit. It's so messed up and I'd love to see more of how messed up and tangled up with each other they are.

I’d be happy with just about anything for them. I’m also opting into smut if you want to go there. Most of my thoughts naturally lean towards post-canon but I'd be just as happy to get something that takes place somewhere before the final scene of the movie.
