Trick or Treat 2022

Dear Trick or Treater,

Hi, thanks for signing up (or volunteering to be a pitch hitter)! Most of this letter is copy and pasted from past letters, but please go where your creation takes you as you see fit! For dark likes, I have more likes listed here. I'm also explictly opting in to unusual formats/styles! IF, non-linear narratives, epistolary, second person, etc. sounds great to me if you want to go there.

Some of my requests and prompts might be short but please note that I want them just as much as my longer requests. Don't worry about fitting my prompts exactly in any of my requests as I welcome different ideas with my requested pairings.   • I'm open to fic rated from G to E. In terms of fic length, I love anything from the small to long epics. For all of my requests, feel free to mix up the freeforms or prompts as you wish.
  • I like all kinds of genres and tone! Exploring emotions in narratives is a big draw for me, be it about dark themes or more lighthearted themes.
  • I love seeing how characters view the world around them and how they interact with others, positive or negative. Plotty fic would be great but I'm also just as happy with more introspective stories.

  • As far as sex goes in general, I like any combination of anal, oral, rimming (for m/m), vaginal sex, breast/nipple play, handjobs, and fingering (in no particular order). I also enjoy slightly unrealistic sex. Sex that's unrealistic in terms of how much a character can come, how fast they can get it up, and handwaving that because it's magic/superpowers/alien biology is perfectly fine with me.

  • For vocabulary, I generally enjoy more explicit terms than flowery language and prefer "come" over "cum". Unless specified, I have no preferences about top/bottom dynamics. When it comes to smut, I love seeing focus on the emotions between characters, what the sex means for them, or general intense feelings.

    • By non-canon divergence, I mean alternate universes that change the setting and rules of the canon universe such as mundane AUs, A/B/O, IN SPACE! AUs, etc. or makes major changes to relationships such as making characters suddenly related (or vice versa).
  • Unrequested identity headcanons (gender, race, other) (Assuming flexibility with canon sexuality is fine.)

I think Daisy is a really interesting character in her own right and I would love to get more of a look on how she thinks of things and what her world looks like! We know what Daisy means to Gatsby and get secondhand accounts of their romance and I always wonder about her side of the story. I'm not necessarily looking for Daisy to be an angel who has no faults of her own, but I would enjoy seeing more of her, flaws and all!

  • Anything about Daisy growing up, what her family life looked like, her relationship with Jordan or other girls we don't see in canon.
  • How she fell in love with Gatsby and, later, Tom. What did her romance with each look like? Did she ever have second thoughts that canon didn't show us when she was with either of them?

Jay Gatsby/Nick Carraway

I’ve always thought that it’s very easy to read Nick as having feelings for Gatsby and I’d love to see exploration of that. Gatsby and Nick have great chemistry together and I’m open to a pretty wide variety of interpretations for them! I’m interested in anything from something happy to angsty. It can also be entirely one-sided Nick at Gatsby (or it’s left ambiguous). Nick has a pretty glowing view of Gatsby in the book and I can easily get behind the idea that Gatsby has a meaner side if you want to go to a darker place (or not, if you’d rather write something more positive/fluffy between them!). I’m also happy get smut (both consensual or dubcon if you’re inclined).

A note on other characters and ships: For other ships, I’m fine with canon ships being heavily present (including Gatsby staying with Daisy by the end of the fic) considering the canon as long as the emotional focus is on Nick/Gatsby on some level. With Daisy, I'd prefer Gatsby and Daisy's failed romance in the past to have been a thing as it starts the whole plot, but you can handwave (or not) as much as you like beyond that for the sake of the fic. Maybe Daisy never shows up for the tea party, or Gatsby starts seeing Nick in the middle of seeing Daisy, or Nick and Gatsby get together after Daisy decides to stay with Tom are just a few examples I'd enjoy!

This pairing caught my eye when browsing the tags and I had to request it! For ideas were this could go... Does the house have some sort of physical form or not? How does the heir get the house in the first place? I think there's so many different ways you could take this and I would be happy to see all of them, from the romantic fluff to the dark and unsettling. I also welcome smut, be it fully consensual to dubcon to noncon. Please feel free to go where you want with this, I'd be interested in anything!

Ready or Not


As a general note, please feel free to mix and match my prompts for this fandom If you see an idea in, say, the Grace solo section that you want to apply to Alex/Grace/Daniel, go for for it! In general, I'm a big fan of exploring all the creepiness of this family in whatever form it might take. Rituals for Le Bail, unsettling halloween traditions, what it's like to grow up in such a family, and whatever else you can think of are all things I'd love to see! For ships, I'm good with any consent level from consentual to "this is a very bad idea" dubcon. Noncon of the "Le Bail or [insert thing here] makes them do it" variety is also welcomed!

Request-specific DNWs/clarifications: I'm fine with canon typical violence and ignoring my infidelity/pregnancy DNWs for everything in this section. I'm also fine with permanant character death involving Grace for a Alex/Daniel fic or canon deaths for a solo Grace focus fic.

Grace Le Domas


Grace made for a fantastic heroine in the movie and I'd love to see more of her! She makes such an effort to survive and is coming at the family as an outsider who doesn't know what's coming and I'd love to see anything in the vein of exploring her life and general thoughts about everything. Anything from pre-canon to post-canon is good by me.

Prompts:

  • Grace dealing with the fallout of everything after the events of the movie. Does she use the money that falls to her or reject everything and for the most part goes back to her old life?
  • Following with the above, Grace finds that the family money is cursed somehow.
  • Something involving an outsider POV on Grace from the perspective of other wealthy families that were friendly with the Le Domas family and might have known something (or not) about their deal with Le Bail.
  • Grace being haunted by the rest of the Le Domas family. I see this being either darkly hilarious or unsettling depending on where you want to go!
  • The deal with Le Bail turns out to be bullshit and no one explodes. The massive fallout ensues afterwards.
  • Grace finds out that Le Bail isn't done with her. Or she makes her own deal.
  • Grace picks a different card and gets accepted into the family without anything major happening. It's not exactly a happily ever after.
  • Something about her backstory? What was her romance with Alex like and how did it happen in the first place?
  • Grace is adopted into the Le Domas family and grows up with Alex and Daniel as her siblings/cousins.

Alex Le Domas/Daniel Le Domas


The Le Domases are such a messed up family in the most fun of ways and I’d love to see exploration of the brothers having messy feelings for each other. I found the bond between Alex and Daniel to be very interesting and would love to see more exploration on Daniel trying to protect his brother (and possibly failing him by trying to protect him) or even more about how Alex sees Daniel (he did talk him down from killing their father, after all). I can imagine growing up would do a number on your moral code and would love to see something based on that as well.

Prompts:

  • Anything about their relationship over the years. Maybe they keep having guilt filled sex for ages until Alex leaves the family in an attempt to get out and Daniel ends up having feelings about that. Or anything about the decision to leave the family for good and the brothers being torn by it. Anything about being able to connect with each other with the horror of their family and general codependency/possessiveness is great!
  • Alex manages to get there sooner and saves Daniel from being shot.
  • For reasons, a ritual requires that they have to have sex together. It could be their first time or maybe they’re already in a secret relationship and the ritual feels like Mr. Le Bail’s way of mocking them.
  • Grace ends up as a sacrifice in the end and Alex and Daniel cling to each other trying to put it past them. Or, alternatively, Daniel is increasingly horrified by the change in his brother becoming the new head of the family even as they have a sexual relationship.
  • Daniel convinces Alex to stay with the family (or convinces him to come back), not wanting to be left alone by Alex, and struggles with his guilt of doing do as Alex becomes a worse person under his family's continued influence.
  • Ill advised druken sex and attraction becoming obvious. Maybe Daniel has done a decent job of hiding his feelings until one night he gets drunk and the secret slips out — which could be in front of Alex only or the rest of the family picks up on something going on.
  • The rest of the family finds out somehow. I can see this being humorous where some of the family makes a big deal of it but it turns out that the majority doesn't actually care and only cares about outsiders finding out or a bit darker where Alex and Daniel are shunned and have to navigate the damage to their bond.
  • The two of them getting off on the secretcy of their relationship up to cheating on their partners to be together. Sneaking around their family and making excuses with Grace and Charity to see each other. Or, alteratively, they get off to the fact they're brothers and get turned on by hearing dirty talk along those lines.
  • All the hurt/comfort that comes with growing up in such a twisted family! Maybe they cling to each other more than they really should or they have nightmares and sleep together in the same bed even when they're too old or they generally make excuses to get their other's attention.
  • Alex being the persuer in their relationship where Daniel struggles to turn him down (and increasingly failing to see why he should push his brother away) when he's tried to give him everything else Alex wanted.
  • All the hurt/comfort that comes with growing up in such a twisted family! Maybe they cling to each other more than they really should or they have nightmares and sleep together in the same bed even when they're too old or they generally make excuses to get their other's attention.
  • They have some kind of magical connection togther. Maybe it's a soulbond spawned from a ritual or something else but however they're connected it only adds their to intense bond. Or, maybe Alex or Daniel Comes Back Wrong and the other has to navigate that.

Alex Le Domas/Daniel Le Domas/Grace Le Domas


I find the Alex/Daniel/Grace trio to be super fascinating and would love anything about them! You can't really go wrong here, I just want more.

Prompts:

  • They all manage to survive to the end! The three of them end up falling into a dysfunctional relationship knowing that no one else would be able to come close to understanding what happened that night. Does Grace try to work out her anger against Alex in some way? Do Alex and Daniel cling to each other as the only blood family they have left?
  • Maybe Grace pulls a normal card, and nothing happens that night, except Grace is pulled into the family and starts to gradually lose her sense of morals as time goes on with Alex and Daniel at her side.
  • Grace finds out about Alex and Daniel having a thing for each other and decides to join them out of a desperate attempt to have a family, even if it’s a messed up one.
  • Grace gets adopted but this time she gets into a incestous relationship with the brothers.
  • Grace pulls a card that isn't the card she gets in the movie but things still get weird. I'm thinking mainly of ritual sex involving Alex and Daniel, but if you have something else in mind, I'm interested in seeing it!
  • Or, following with the above idea, they have sex and one of them gets pregnant by surprise or because of a ritual for that purpose (mpreg or regular pregnancy is both welcomed). Maybe the ritual baby ends up being demonic in some way or is the antichrist. I'm also open to this as a Alex/Daniel idea.
  • What exactly happened when Alex introduced Grace to Daniel? They seem to know each other before the wedding in the movie and I'd like to see how that introduction went down between the three of them.
  • I'd like to see something where the three of them somehow become the new heads of the family (or just Grace being the offical head, maybe?). How does the family dynamic, if the rest of the family is still around, shift in light of such a change? How do other families see them? Does one of them strike some kind of new deal with Le Bail?
  • The family is actually a bunch of vampires, or there's creepy fairy tale vibes around the whole situation or just more of a slow burn look at Grace becoming a part of the family, or they're a bunch of serial killers or a crime family and the Le Bail thing just gives them an excuse. Or they worship something that isn't Le Bail but is still bad news. Anything that makes the family still some flavor of creepy but with a different bent to it than canon would be great, really!
  • Anything with a time loop. Maybe it's creepy and things get increasingly fucked up the longer it goes on for one of them, or they can't seem to get it right no matter what they do, and/or they're all looping and have to work together to get out, or anything else that comes to mind.
  • Grace dies, but haunts Alex and Daniel even as they try to return to normal. Or one of the brothers lives and the other two don't or so on. Either way, I'm open to seeing ghost sex happening or maybe the three of them finding some kind of way to bring back the person(s) that was dead.
  • Here you have a blank check to bring in whatever magical element you want! Really, go nuts. I would love to see how it impacts the trio.

Sk8 the Infinity


Hasegawa Langa/Kyan Reki


I love these two in canon and their very shippy friendship together! I would love to see more of them being together. Reki and Langa have such a great dynamic together from start to finish and I would love to see any point of their relationship in canon.

Prompts:

  • Having a beef against each other! What do either of them get if they win? Or does it end in an unexpected way?
  • One of them has a temporary injury that puts them out of skating for a little while and they deal with the change.
  • Something that looks into Reki teaching Langa how to skate. Or maybe one time Langa taught Reki something about skating?
  • Getting together and what that might look like for their life. Is their friend group surprised? Or something on them learning to be a couple together, finding out about each other's lives before they knew each other, visting each other's families, their lives post-canon, etc.
  • First times of any kind! This can be anything from friendship to nsfw if you'd like to go there.
Kikuchi Tadashi/Shindo Aiichiro(/Shindo Ainosuke)


Ainosuke having a twisted family and the extra-canon information that Tadashi worked under Aiichiro for a period is something I would adore seeing explored here in the darkest ways. Considering the borderline gothic horror that is Tadashi and Ainosuke's childhoods under Ainosuke's relatives, I'd love to see how Aiichiro contributes in his own way to Tadashi's (and Ainosuke's) issues and how that fed into Tadashi and Ainosuke's bond being broken when they were young. I am 100% opting into noncon here from Aiichiro's side. For the Tadashi and Ainosuke leg of the dynamic, I'd prefer it's not outright noncon between them, but fucked up dubcon where things are going too far (or noncon in the sense that Aiichiro is forcing things) and they're both having a lot of emotions that they don't know how to deal with is great. Please give me all the terrible whump!


For more Ainosuke specific details, I would love to see a conflict between him being best friends with Tadashi and his father's expectations for him as the heir of the family, both in sexual and/or nonsexual ways. Maybe Aiichiro starts with Ainosuke first and then soon involves Tadashi or vice versa. Either way, for both Tadashi and Ainosuke, I would love to get something unsetting with Aiichiro's focus on them.

As an additional note, this doesn't have to be explicit at all or necessarily have to have a sad ending. I would equally love something that has a happy ending for Tadashi and Ainosuke, along with something that leaves the details up in the air, or focuses more on the aftermath of the relationship (including recovery)! I do ship Tadashi and Ainosuke so I would be happy to see that included in some way, but it can also just be friendship or left unclear on the nature of their relationship. I've combined prompts involving Tadashi on his own and involving Ainosuke, but please modify any prompts as you like to fit your ideas.

  • Aiichiro makes his move when Ainosuke leaves for America and Tadashi is truly isolated from any possible support.
  • Ainosuke gets different lessons about love from his father.
  • Ainosuke and Tadashi are regular friends until Aiichiro involves them both with him.
  • Tadashi (and/or Ainosuke) eventually takes his revenge. Does he have one last conversation with Aiichiro?
  • Tadashi learns how to hide the evidence of the relationship from his coworkers and everyone else.
  • Tadashi lets Ainosuke think his relationship with Aiichiro is consensual or the marks and bruises are from something else.
  • Ainosuke comforts him one night while not knowing the cause of the hurt.
  • Eventually Ainosuke finds out about Tadashi's ordeal (post-canon?) and reacts.
  • After Ainosuke and Tadashi get together, Tadashi has moments when he's reminded of Aiichiro.
  • Ainosuke and Tadashi struggle to maintain their friendship after their experience with Aiichiro.

Kikuchi Tadashi/Shindo Ainosuke

I fell in love with this ship by the end of the show. They have such an interesting tangle of issues with their emotionally fraught past together between the betrayal and their conflict about class differences. So many elements of their relationship is catnip to me. Any kind of digging into their weird and messed up dynamic would be great. I think they have plenty of potential for anything ranging from angst to fluff. From their childhood to adulthood, all of that sounds amazing. For sex, I'm fine with consensual to "this is a really bad idea" dubcon.

Prompts:

  • Give me Adam and Tadashi skating together! Learning to skate, or skating as best friends, or skating together after years apart.
  • Anything relating to Adam and Tadashi being offical, be it them getting married or announcing to their friends (or S) that they're together.
  • I'd like a peak at their teenaged years! You can go as angsty as you like here and I'm fine with Adam or even Tadashi being abused by the rest of the family. What was it like for them to hide their relationship? Or did they continue to dance around each other back then?
  • Anything post-canon! I'm very into the idea of them trying to make amends, even if it's in a nonlinear way. Does Tadashi get into skating at S? Do they deal with the aunts, including their ideas of marrying Adam off to a woman?
  • Taking their feelings out on each other before they make up. Messed up and dysfunctional would be great! Ainosuke and Tadashi having emotionally intense sex when Ainosuke returns home (or leaves). Ainosuke having tons of weird feelings about Tadashi working for his father. Ainosuke going out skating with his new friends while Tadashi stays behind. Their many ways of refusing to let the other go even when they're at their lowest point. Etc.

Nanjo Kojiro/Sakurayashiki Kaoru/Shindo Ainosuke

I really enjoyed the backstory we got with all three of them being friends, their fallout, and the door being left open for a possible reconciliation! I've always loved the idea of the three of them having a relationship and would like to see more of that in any form. I'm also equally interested in sour/angsty takes on them that maybe focuses more on their falling out rather than coming together.

Prompts:

  • Cherry and Joe expose Adam to new things like fast food and other things that Adam isn't allowed to do while living at home.
  • How does their relationship happen anyway? I can see anything from Cherry hooking up with Adam with Joe being invited to Cherry and Joe asking out Adam or whatever else you might have in mind for how it happened!
  • Joe and Cherry looking for Adam after their fallout.
  • The three of them starting up their friendship again and more after the events of canon. Does it take time for it to happen? What do the rest of their friends think?
  • Joe and Cherry running into Adam outside of Sk8. What sort of things end up happening there?

Sakurayashiki Kaoru/Shindo Ainosuke

Cherry in particular seemed to hold such a candle for Adam being friends with him again and I'd like to see what their earlier relationship looked like or what their dynamic could look like in the future. Anything from angsty, to a little dark, to lighthearted would be good. I'm also open to jealousy from Joe and Tadashi respectively, but that's also completely optional.

Prompts:

  • The early days of their relationship. Maybe they're having their first brush with love and getting into skating together or it's a casual fling that keeps going or or or. I'd like to see more of that!
  • The last days of their relationship before Adam leaves.
  • Cherry runs into Adam outside of Sk8.
  • Getting back together (or getting together for the first time?) post canon.

The Folk of the Air


For these requests in general, I love the fantasy world that Holly Black gives us in the books and would love to see anything relating to the dark fairy tale themes and the unsettling bits of worldbuilding that make it so dangerous to mortals if you're inclined.


Jude Duarte/Cardan Greenbriar


I love both Jude and Cardan so much, both as characters and as a couple! I love Jude's refusal to give up and her determination to claw out a place for herself in such a hostile fantasy world. I love Cardan's way with words and how he grows into unexpectedly becoming the king thanks to Jude. They're very messy together, and I adored how their relationship came together over the course of three books. There's so many appealing tropes between them with their us-against-the-world vibe and their reluctant falling in love with all of the bitter feelings and suprising understanding.

Prompts:

  • Jude comes back wrong after being killed by Locke.
  • I loved the curse at the end of QoN and it would be fun to see the two of them dealing with more Fae curses. Does it have to do with them being tied to the land? Does one of them have to go to suprising lengths to save to other? Or maybe instead of it damaging them, it's damaging their people?
  • Time loops! Do one or both of them get stuck in a loop for any point in canon? How do they end up getting out of it?
  • Soulbonds feel like such a natural thing to add for this canon and I'd love to see how it happens with Jude and Cardan and how they feel about it once they figure out it can't easily be removed. Are there any side effects?
  • Jumping off from soulbonds, what about soulmarks? Is it a mortal only thing, or does Cardan grow up with a soulmate mark, either knowing or is suprised realizing that Jude is his soulmate?
  • Consider this my general prompt for Dain and Balekin to mess with Jude and Cardan. Maybe one of them uses Jude against Cardan, or they force them to do it, or they get their revenge in some other way somehow.
  • Anything smutty to do with Jude and Cardan. Sex Pollen? Maybe they have to fuck or die for Reasons? Or, they're simply enjoying having sex together, take your pick! Any range of consent is fine.

Taryn Duarte/Locke


Here I'm just really interested in seeing the downfall of their marriage and/or how they got together in the first place and seeing the cracks show up. I'm fine with Locke dying here along with infidelity inside the relationship.

Prompts:

  • Locke going further and further with testing Taryn's limits. I'm okay with noncon here if you do want to go there.
  • A look at Taryn's mindset when getting together with Locke in the first place and how she feels about their romance.
  • I'm intrigued at what an AU where Locke lives might look like so throwing that out there.
  • Taryn planning Locke's downfall.

Taryn Duarte/Nicasia

I find this relationship to be a really interesting possibility! They're both great characters and I'd enjoy seeing them having some sort of relationship. I'm good with infidelity from outside their relationship!

Prompts:

  • Taryn seeks out Nicasia for help regarding Locke. Maybe the hide the body, maybe to find out what to do with Locke, you decide.
  • The two of them start an affair under Locke's nose.
  • Taryn ventures to the undersea for some political reason and gets to know Nicasia in a new environment.
  • Alternatively, Taryn takes Nicasia to the mortal world for whatever reason and things happen there.

John Gaius


I love this terrible man. Nona gave me everything I wanted with his scenes and I would love to see his guilty but manipulaive self in all kinds of situations. I love all of his interactions with his Lyctors (and cavaliers) and am open to seeing anything with that! I'm also including Alecto in this. Please, go wild with him! Also opting into dubcon/noncon involving him (I'm picturing him as the aggressor but, hey, if you want to write something where someone else is the aggressor go for it!)

Prompts:

  • I would really love to see anything about him resurrecting the world and his interactions with Alecto and his memory wiping of his friends. That's such a fascinating part of canon for me.
  • His guilt and sadness after the events of HtN. Or just him banging a bunch of people as revealed in NtN as a character study!
  • John being super creepy and weird towards his Lyctors including (or especially) moments where everything is seemingly above board but something is wrong.
  • Absolutely anything about his pre-resurrection days. The fact that he has a cult, his streaming to the world, puppeting a world leader, hanging out with A-- and M--, and anything else that strikes your fancy.
  • Memory fuckery. Consider this a blank check for anything even slightly relating to him screwing with people's memories.
  • Show me his interactions with Gideon! There's so much we don't know about it and I'm really curious what their dynamic looks like.
  • Following the above, I'd also be really interested in seeing his interactions with Inathe (or both?) post HtN.

Assorted Lyctors
[Augustine/Mercymorn(/John), Augustine/Alfred(/John), Augustine/John]

John and his Lyctors were one of the things I adored in Harrow! I'm all over the idea of a man being God and his devoted followers that eventually go astray. I love the glimpses of the Lyctors' relationships with their cavaliers we see in Harrow and the sense of tragedy that hangs over how they achieved Lyctorhood. None of them are good people and they all spend such a long time together (thousands of years!) that I'd love to see the complete mess that is their codependency and all the deeply fucked up power dynamics that unfold. For the timeline, I'll gladly take anything (including canon divergent AUs). It's all fascinating to me.

I'm 100% fine with mixing and matching pairings even if they "conflict" with each other (such as Augustine/Mercymorn turning into Augustine/John as an example). I can buy that they've all slept with each other at one point or another (including unrequested ships). For blanket requests for all given pairings in this subsection, I'd love to see anything involving the canon sexy parties, necromancy magic (including Mercymorn screwing with bodies), the whole deal with calling each other "sister"/"brother", and messed up but sexy gore (including during sex)!

Augustine the First/John Gaius: These two have such a fucked up relationship and I’m completely here for it. Please give me more on Augustine being sure he’s John’s favorite or the fact that John remembers Augustine from pre-ressurection days, the whole deal of a God and his disciple turned traitor. The entire concept of them having such a tangled relationship of devotion and eventual betrayal is wonderful to me and I’d like to see more of that in any form (including dub/noncon or consensual smut)!

Prompts:

  • Anything at all about how they were like pre-ressurection! John being able to do increasingly weird things and A-- being along for the ride and things spiraling for everyone really fast.
  • John lies to Augustine about the things he knows about him from pre-ressurection days. Augustine doesn’t look too closely at any contradictions that pop up. Or maybe he has moments of memory pop up because Reasons and John makes him forget again.
  • Augustine decides to swear his loyalty to an angry John post the big betrayal reveal.
  • The early happier days of John and Augustine post-ressurection. And the moments that strike a wrong note.
  • John feeling guilty but aroused when Augstine is badly hurt (either by other forces or by him).


Augustine the First/John Gaius/Mercymorn the First: I’ve been in love with this trio ever since I read Harrow for the first time and Nona only increased my feelings for them. I was equally shocked and thrilled when the plan to distract John in Harrow ended up being Augustine and Mercymorn teaming up to make out with him! They’re all terrible people and yet Mercymorn and Augustine managed to team up to go behind John’s back. I’d love anything that explores their tangled relationship between all three of them, from Augustine and Mercymorn having moments of still loving John, to John not realizing that his Lyctors are scheming to kill him, to Augustine and Mercymorn figuring out a plan (however grudgingly). Anything with these three would be wonderful, including dub/noncon and consensual smut if you’re inclined!

Prompts:

  • Anything at all about their general dynamic in Nona. Being in the compound, John gradually losing it, M-- and A-- finding that they agree with each other, how they held hands...
  • Augustine and Mercy somehow regain their memories (because of the River?) and John attempts to contain the fallout. Or maybe Augustine and Mercymorn getting strong moments of deja vu at random times and John handwaving it away for them. Memory fuckery in general as horror or as a point of angst highly welcomed!
  • Anything involving dios apate (major or minor). And beyond!
  • For something darker, maybe John once "jokingly" forced them to get along by making them Augustine and Mercy have sex together.
  • Something where Augustine and Mercy mutually admit to being attracted to John and John overhears and things go from there.
  • Did John ever suspect that something was going on between Mercymorn and Augustine?

Augustine the First/Mercymorn the First: This gut-punch of a quote from them got me good: "Oh, we’ll still hate each other, my dear, we have hated each other too long and too passionately to stop…but my bones will rest easy next to your bones." They're such a tangled mess of hatred and scheming over several thousand years and I'd love to see more of that on display. I also loved that their dynamic was basically the same in the Nona flashbacks. Anything would be great, including dub/noncon and consensual smut if you’re inclined!

Prompts:

  • Anything involving their days together pre-resurrection. Dealing with cultists as scientists, having random hook ups to take their frustration out on each other, how they ended up meeting, working together, etc.
  • Following the above, anything that compares (contrasts?) their pre-resurrection life with their lives as Lyctors. Or maybe they have a strong moment of deja vu but handwave it away...
  • Show me the various times they lashed out at each other either in petty ways or in ways that would've ended in murder if they weren't Lyctors or maybe it was very rough hate sex. Or, what about the times they managed to grudgingly agree to a truce?
  • Working out their feelings about their cavaliers being dead. Maybe they have angsty hate sex or they end up distracting each other in other ways!
  • All the canon divergent AUs. Maybe the world doesn't end when they kill John and they have to keep living, or they do end up getting to witness the end of it all together, or a still alive Augustine is haunted by Mercy, or maybe they find each other in the River post-Harrow. Go wild!
  • All the times they had very rough hate sex with each other. (And maybe the times they had moments of fondess for each other).

Alfred Quinque/Augustine the First: I first latched onto the idea of this ship when Augustine didn’t directly deny the idea of his cavalier being his lover when Harrow asked. I find the concept of Augustine having a incestous relationship with his brother interesting and would be into just about anything with them (including dub/noncon or consentual smut)! We never get to see Alfred alive in Harrow, but he’s very much so on Augustine’s mind and I’d love to see more exploration of their relationship from when they first joined John to the aftermath of Augustine mourning his brother. I was really happy to get a crumb of information about Alfred in Nona and would love anything involving their pre-ressurection days. I gave a few general prompts, but please write whatever you see fit, I’d be happy with anything!

Prompts:

  • (Post-Harrow) Augustine finds Alfred in the River.
  • Something exploring Augustine being miserable without his brother. Maybe he has dreams of him which may or may not be real for Reasons?
  • The early days of them being a necromancer and cavalier team.
  • Augstine missing the signs of Alfred's plans. All the angsty foreshadowing here is welcomed!
  • Anything of how they were pre-ressurection. How did A-- get his brother to come along anyway?

I'd love anything along the lines of exploring how John sees Augustine and his brother or vice versa for the the brothers. Camilla Hect/Palamedes Sextus


I've always adored their loyalty to each other throughout the books. They work so well as a team and I'd like to see more in any form!

Prompts:

  • Something about their time at the Sixth before the events of canon. Maybe another adventure similar to Doctor Sex? Or maybe a casual moment of their lives together (taking tests, writing to Dulcinea, etc.)?
  • Cam and Pal manage to find another body and achive perfect lyctorhood.
  • The time of Cam carrying around Pal's bones, not knowing for certain if he's still in there. Or, alteratively, the time of Pal being in his bubble and thinking about Cam.
  • Sex pollen forces them together! Or maybe Cytherea makes them do it? Whatever the method, maybe it makes them realize certain thing about each other.



Coronabeth Tridentarius/Ianthe Tridentarius


I fell in love with this ship ever since Corona cried about Ianthe not eating her. I love their weirdness so much and loved that NtN doubled down on that.

Prompts:

  • Living on the Third. Throwing parties, sleeping around, having a relationship, etc.
  • Following with the above, I really like the thought of them dating other people in attempt to make the other jealous or telling each other about people they find hot and it gets weird. Maybe they tell each other about the things they did while sleeping with the other person, or random people start mysteriously being killed off, anything along those lines.
  • Inathe experimenting with her necromancy (either on herself or Corona or both) and it goes into a sexual direction.
  • Please give me anything that expands on their moments in NtN! Corona demanding Ianthe's attention in increasingly disturbing ways pre-canon, their suspious noises over radio, fussing over random things while meeting each other for the first time in a long while, being mistaken for dating, etc.
  • This is completely 100% optional but I would really like to see Ianthe and Augustine taking about their siblings and parallels (or not) with that.
  • Ianthe being forced to eat Corona (Corona forcing her hand or dying unexpectedly?) and becoming a Lyctor.


Gideon Nav/Harrow Nonagesimus


These two have such a fun and heartbreaking dynamic throughout the canon. I love seeing them revolve around each other. I'm here for anything you can think of with them -- from angsty to comedic along with any point in canon.

Prompts:

  • I'd love to see any of the canon AUs expanded on with them. Or maybe something where our Harrow and Gideon meet AU versions of themselves (where they could be already dating or not)?
  • An AU where they grow older without GtN happening and Gideon gets called back to help Harrow for reasons. Or maybe she grows into becoming Harrow's cavalier regardless. I'd love to see an all roads lead to Rome sort of deal!
  • Gideon being sad about Harrow. Or vice versa.
  • Sex pollen or someone makes them do it!
  • Anything about their childhood being two lonely kids that hate each other.


Harrowhark Nonagesimus/Ianthe Tridentarius


I really liked Ianthe's dynamic with Harrow in HtN! I really dig Ianthe catching feelings for Harrow and trying her hardest to get her attention along with Harrow being more concerned about other things going on. I'm totally fine with this being completely one-sided if that's where you'd like to go. I'm also totally open to Harrow eventually returning feelings, being super reluctent, or unwilling. I'm opting into dub/noncon!

Prompts:

  • HtN AU where Harrow does decide to reach for Ianthe in a dark universe.
  • More bed sharing during the events of HtN. Or maybe they start sleeping with each other. With or without more of Ianthe's gaslighting.
  • AU where GtN never happens and Harrow must vist Ida for an alliance and things go from there. Or maybe Ianthe ends up on the Ninth for similar reasons.
  • Anything featuring their necromancy. Both for romantic reasons or sexual reasons.
Vespertine


Artemisia


I loved Artemisia as the main character of Vespertine and would love to see any look on her life, including her interactions with friends. I enjoyed reading how resilient she was and seeing her worldview and would like to see more of it!

Prompts:

  • Something about her backstory. What about when she first arrives at the covenant? Her early interactions with Marguerite? Thinking about her terrible time being possessed (or flashbacks to it)?
  • Artemisia interacting with the revenant! Either during canon or post canon. I loved their interactions.
  • Artemisia getting along with the older nuns.
  • Artemisia traveling the world post canon. What sights does she see?

Artemisia/Leander


I found their interactions in the book to be really shippy! I don't mind it being one-sided from Leander's side, but requited on some level is great as well. Anything at all with them would be fantastic. I also would enjoy smut if you happen to be inclined.

Prompts:

  • AU: Early on, Leander takes her to Bonsaint. How does that play out?
  • They interact for just a little longer than they do in their brief meetings in canon. What would happen if Artemisia figured out that he was basically on her side the whole time eariler?
  • Leander's dreams of her. That is all.
  • Meeting again post-canon. Maybe Leander finds out important information and or Artemisia needs him again for an adventure.
