Hi, thanks for signing up (or volunteering to be a pitch hitter)! I'm excited to do a smut focused exchange and can't wait to see what you'll come up with. Since this is Smut 4 Smut, I do have a fairly large list of smut likes that you're welcome to draw from for any of my requests. Please feel free to be as smutty and detailed with the porn as you want, it's all good!
Some of my requests and prompts might be short but please note that I want them just as much as my longer requests. - I'm open to fic rated from G to E. In terms of fic length, I love anything from the small to long epics. For all of my requests, feel free to mix up the freeforms or prompts as you wish.

- As far as sex goes in general, I like any combination of anal, oral, rimming (for m/m), vaginal sex, breast/nipple play, handjobs, and fingering (in no particular order). I also enjoy slightly unrealistic sex. Sex that's unrealistic in terms of how much a character can come, how fast they can get it up, and handwaving that because it's magic/superpowers/alien biology is perfectly fine with me.
- For vocabulary, I generally enjoy more explicit terms than flowery language and prefer "come" over "cum". Unless specified, I have no preferences about top/bottom dynamics. When it comes to smut, I love seeing focus on the emotions between characters, what the sex means for them, or general intense feelings.

- Unrequested non-canon divergence AUs
- By non-canon divergence, I mean alternate universes that change the setting and rules of the canon universe such as mundane AUs, A/B/O, IN SPACE! AUs, etc. or makes major changes to relationships such as making characters suddenly related (or vice versa).
- Unrequested identity headcanons (gender, race, other) (Assuming flexibility with canon sexuality is fine.)
- Kidfic (Defining kidfic to mean "fic where the characters get a non-canon kid"); Unrequested pregnancy involving requested characters (Mentions of background pregnant characters are fine.)
- Permanent death of requested characters (Feel free to ignore this for IF based choice games.)
- Unrequested poly/open relationships
- Unrequested infidelity (For ships that are dating in canon that would get in the way, I'd prefer that they've broken up.)
- Focus on unrequested ships (Background mentions are okay.)
- Heavy gore (Meaning wounds being so extreme that guts fall out or loss of body parts. Describing bloody wounds from a gun shot/knife or a broken bone is fine.); heavy descriptions of torture (Non-graphic violence of the manhandling/action movie level is fine.)
- As a rule of thumb, I'm looking for injuries to give the requested characters permanent (non-disabling) scars or lose a minor internal organ at worst.
- Bleak hopeless endings
- Animal harm/abuse (Canon typical is fine. Brief moments of animals being killed for rituals or hunting is okay. No heavy focus on them in pain, please.)
- First person/second person (If the canon uses first person, first person is fine for either requested character in a fic.)

Why I requested it: I love both Jude and Cardan so much, both as characters and as a couple! I love Jude's refusal to give up and her determination to claw out a place for herself in such a hostile fantasy world. I love Cardan's way with words and how he grows into unexpectedly becoming the king thanks to Jude. They're very messy together, and I adored how their relationship came together over the course of three books. There's so many appealing tropes between them with their us-against-the-world vibe and their reluctant falling in love with all of the bitter feelings and suprising understanding.
As far as smut goes, anything from fluffy happy sex between Jude and Cardan to darker dubcon territory (including 'outside forces make them do it' or 'they start having very consensent iffy bad idea sex') is great. I'm cool with either of them being a casual dom (or there can be no D/s elements at all if you don't feel like writing it!).
I also love the fantasy world that Holly Black gives us in the books and would love to see anything relating to the dark fairy tale themes and the unsettling bits of worldbuilding that make it so dangerous to mortals if you're inclined.

Why I requested it: Gatsby is one of my favorite classics! Nick and Gatsby really are the centerpiece of the book for me and I find them very shippable. They're both very flawed people and I love Nick's strong fondness for Gatsby (even though he probally shouldn't be) and Gatsby, on the other hand, comes across as such a lonely person underneath his attempts to gain access to the world of the upper class while Nick is the only one who gets to know his real backstory.
As far as smut goes, I’ve always thought that it’s very easy to read Nick as having feelings for Gatsby and I’d love to see exploration of that. Gatsby and Nick have great chemistry together and I’m open to a pretty wide variety of interpretations for them from the more angsty/dark to something happier! For their sexual histories, I can easily be convinced on all kinds of takes. Maybe Nick is the more experienced and Gatbsy wants to sleep with a man to see what it's like, or Nick is very repressed and Gatsby has had some experience with men while waiting for Daisy to show up, or anything else you can think of. Either of them topping (or switching) is welcomed by me!
A note on other characters and ships: For other ships, I’m fine with canon ships being heavily present (including Gatsby staying with Daisy by the end of the fic) considering the canon as long as the emotional focus is on Nick/Gatsby on some level. With Daisy, I'd prefer Gatsby and Daisy's failed romance in the past to have been a thing as it starts the whole plot, but you can handwave (or not) as much as you like beyond that for the sake of the fic. Maybe Daisy never shows up for the tea party, or Gatsby starts seeing Nick in the middle of seeing Daisy, or Nick and Gatsy get together after Daisy decides to stay with Tom are just a few examples I'd enjoy!

Why I requested it: John and his Lyctors were one of the things I adored in Harrow! I'm all over the idea of a man being God and his devoted followers that eventually go astray. I love the glimpses of the Lyctors' relationships with their cavaliers we see in Harrow and the sense of tragedy that hangs over how they achieved Lyctorhood. None of them are good people and they all spend such a long time together (thousands of years!) that I'd love to see the complete mess that is their codependency and all the deeply fucked up power dynamics that unfold. (See bottom of post for DNW notes/exceptions!)
As far as smut goes, I'm very here for all kinds of fucked up but hot sex they could have with each other. Maybe they manage to find a new kink after a thousand years, or they find themselves leaning into more extreme kinks over time, or the sex is smashed together with a bunch of fraught emotional states. Or anything else you want to explore!
For the timeline, I'll gladly take anything (including canon divergent AUs). It's all fascinating to me.
I'm 100% fine with mixing and matching pairings even if they "conflict" with each other (such as Augustine/Mercymorn turning into Augustine/John as an example). The entire concept of them having such a tangled relationship of devotion and eventual betrayal is wonderful to me and very hot!Prompts:

They’re all terrible people and yet Mercymorn and Augustine managed to team up to go behind John’s back. I’d love anything that explores their tangled relationship between all three of them, from Augustine and Mercymorn having moments of still loving John, to John not realizing that his Lyctors are scheming to kill him, to Augustine and Mercymorn figuring out a plan (however grudgingly). Anything with these three would be wonderful!
