Hi, thanks for signing up (or volunteering to be a pitch hitter)! I'm excited about this exchange and can't wait to see what you'll come up with. This letter is meant to be an overview of the things I like, and aside from my DNWs, it's 100% optional.

Some of my requests and prompts might be short but please note that I want them just as much as my longer requests. I'm open to fic rated from G to E. In terms of fic length, I love anything from the small to long epics. For all of my requests, feel free to mix up the freeforms or prompts as you wish.

I like all kinds of genres and tone! Exploring emotions in narratives is a big draw for me, be it about dark themes or more lighthearted themes.

I love seeing how characters view the world around them and how they interact with others, positive or negative. Plotty fic would be great but I'm also just as happy with more introspective stories.

Smut Likes

As far as sex goes in general, I like any combination of anal, oral, rimming (for m/m), vaginal sex, breast/nipple play, handjobs, and fingering (in no particular order). I also enjoy slightly unrealistic sex. Sex that's unrealistic in terms of how much a character can come, how fast they can get it up, and handwaving that because it's magic/superpowers/alien biology is perfectly fine with me.

For vocabulary, I generally enjoy more explicit terms than flowery language and prefer "come" over "cum". Unless specified, I have no preferences about top/bottom dynamics. When it comes to smut, I love seeing focus on the emotions between characters, what the sex means for them, or general intense feelings.

By non-canon divergence, I mean alternate universes that change the setting and rules of the canon universe such as mundane AUs, A/B/O, IN SPACE! AUs, etc. or makes major changes to relationships such as making characters suddenly related (or vice versa).

Unrequested identity headcanons (gender, race, other) (Assuming flexibility with canon sexuality is fine.)

Kidfic (Defining kidfic to mean "fic where the characters get a non-canon kid"); Unrequested pregnancy involving requested characters (Mentions of background pregnant characters are fine.)

For underage characters, I'd prefer if there wasn't much kinking on how young they physically look. Remarking on their young person energy or lack of life experience is fine but I'd like to avoid "they look childlike" type of descriptions in sex scenes.

Choking (Hands/rope around neck)

Breathplay from oral sex or kissing is okay. Non-sexual choking in a regular fight scene is okay (especially if canon) as long as it's not focused on.

Bodily fluids (Scat, vomit, and watersports)

Spit, genital fluids, and drawing small amounts of blood during sex is okay.

Serious bodily harm in sex

Sex with violence on the level of face slapping, scratching, biting, or threat of harm with no serious injury (such as broken bones or anal tearing) is okay. Spanking until ass is red = OK; getting a black eye during sex = DNW.

Other kinks I DNW: feminization/crossdressing, body mods, daddy/mommy kink (specifically the word), contract/24-7 BDSM, object insertions (non-sex toy objects), weight gain/feeding/inflation, sounding, enemas.

The Folk of the Air

Jude Duarte/Cardan Greenbriar

Why I requested it: I love both Jude and Cardan so much, both as characters and as a couple! I love Jude's refusal to give up and her determination to claw out a place for herself in such a hostile fantasy world. I love Cardan's way with words and how he grows into unexpectedly becoming the king thanks to Jude. They're very messy together, and I adored how their relationship came together over the course of three books. There's so many appealing tropes between them with their us-against-the-world vibe and their reluctant falling in love with all of the bitter feelings and suprising understanding.

I also love the fantasy world that Holly Black gives us in the books and would love to see anything relating to the dark fairy tale themes and the unsettling bits of worldbuilding that make it so dangerous to mortals if you're inclined. For their relationship in specific, I'd love to see anything from fluffy to darker themes (including dubcon/noncon).

A note on timeline: I have a strong fondness for Jude/Cardan's dynamic in TCP and early TWK, but any period of their relationship would be great to see, including post-canon. (Feel free to take a different spin on their married life than the novella if you'd like.)

A note on other characters and ships: Feel free to have them interact with whoever you like, including OCs if the story calls for it. For more specifics, I find Jude and Cardan's relationships with their family members to be fascinating. To be more specific, Jude's relationship with her sisters, Madoc, or her mother and father are all things I love seeing. On Cardan's side, seeing anything with Dain, Balekin, or his mother would be interesting.

For ships, I'm open to anything. Background Taryn/Locke, Taryn/Ghost, Vivi/Heather, Madoc/Eva (or Eva/Justin) are all ones that I'd find great to see show up, but other ships that I haven't thought of (including non-canon ones!) are also awesome.

Prompts:

Jude comes back wrong after being killed by Locke.

I loved the curse at the end of QoN and it would be fun to see the two of them dealing with more Fae curses. Does it have to do with them being tied to the land? Does one of them have to go to suprising lengths to save to other? Or maybe instead of it damaging them, it's damaging their people?

Time loops! Do one or both of them get stuck in a loop for any point in canon? How do they end up getting out of it?

Soulbonds feel like such a natural thing to add for this canon and I'd love to see how it happens with Jude and Cardan and how they feel about it once they figure out it can't easily be removed. Are there any side effects?

Jumping off from soulbonds, what about soulmarks? Is it a mortal only thing, or does Cardan grow up with a soulmate mark, either knowing or is suprised realizing that Jude is his soulmate?

Consider this my general prompt for Dain and Balekin to mess with Jude and Cardan. Maybe one of them uses Jude against Cardan, or they force them to do it, or they get their revenge in some other way somehow.

Anything smutty to do with Jude and Cardan. Sex Pollen? Maybe they have to fuck or die for Reasons? Or, they're simply enjoying having sex together, take your pick! Any range of consent is fine.

Great Gatsby

Jay Gatsby/Nick Carraway

Why I requested it: Gatsby is one of my favorite classics! Nick and Gatsby really are the centerpiece of the book for me, but some of the other reasons I love it so much is because of the beautiful prose, everyone in it being flawed, and how much of an unreliable narrator Nick is. I like how much the canon is about presenting certain sides of yourself from Gatsby making up a new life to Nick pretending to be non-judgmental about the people he meets with an obvious bias for Gatsby.

I’ve always thought that it’s very easy to read Nick as having feelings for Gatsby and I’d love to see exploration of that. Gatsby and Nick have great chemistry together and I’m open to a pretty wide variety of interpretations for them! I’m interested in anything from something happy to angsty. It can also be entirely one-sided Nick at Gatsby (or it’s left ambiguous). Nick has a pretty glowing view of Gatsby in the book and I can easily get behind the idea that Gatsby has a meaner side if you want to go to a darker place (or not, if you’d rather write something more positive/fluffy between them!). I’m also happy get smut (both consensual or dub/noncon if you’re inclined).

For other ships, I’m fine with canon ships being heavily present (including Gatsby staying with Daisy by the end of the fic) considering the canon as long as the emotional focus is on Nick/Gatsby on some level. I'd enjoy exploration of Nick having repressed feelings for Gatsby given the historical period he's in, but if you'd like sidestep that issue entirely by focusing on Nick's feelings without homophobia coming up at any point, that's fine too. I’m happy to get fic that takes place anywhere on the timeline, including canon divergent AUs. Do feel free to write whatever you’d like, I’d be happy with anything!

I’d be interested in seeing a modern AU (I’d prefer if everyone was still an adult) with social media being involved on some level and how that would change the plot.

The Locked Tomb

Fandom notes: I love this book series and am currently caught up on all spoilers. The necromancy and the various relationships (both platonic and not) across the series are fascinating. The mix of humor and seriousness is great, but I'm also fine with reading just humor or seriousness if you don't feel like going for canon tone! I love the creepiness and detailed gore in these books so including that anywhere is fully welcomed!

John & the Lyctors Ships [Alfred Quinque/Augustine the First, Augustine the First/John Gaius, Augustine the First/John Gaius/Mercymorn the First, Augustine the First/Mercymorn the First]

Why I requested it: John and his Lyctors were one of the things I adored in Harrow! I'm all over the idea of a man being God and his devoted followers that eventually go astray. I love the glimpses of the Lyctors' relationships with their cavaliers we see in Harrow and the sense of tragedy that hangs over how they achieved Lyctorhood. None of them are good people and they all spend such a long time together (thousands of years!) that I'd love to see the complete mess that is their codependency and all the deeply fucked up power dynamics that unfold. (See bottom of post for DNW notes/exceptions!)

For the timeline, I'll gladly take anything (including canon divergent AUs). It's all fascinating to me.

I'm 100% fine with mixing and matching pairings even if they "conflict" with each other (such as Alfred/Augustine turning into Augustine/John as an example). I can buy that they've all slept with each other at one point or another (including unrequested ships). For blanket requests for all given pairings in this subsection, I'd love to see anything involving the canon sexy parties, necromancy magic (including Mercymorn screwing with bodies), the whole deal with calling each other "sister"/"brother", and messed up but sexy gore (including during sex)!

Alfred Quinque/Augustine the First: I first latched onto the idea of this ship when Augustine didn’t directly deny the idea of his cavalier being his lover when Harrow asked. I find the concept of Augustine having a incestous relationship with his brother interesting and would be into just about anything with them (including dub/noncon or consentual smut)! We never get to see Alfred alive in Harrow, but he’s very much so on Augustine’s mind and I’d love to see more exploration of their relationship from when they first joined John to the aftermath of Augustine mourning his brother. I gave a few general prompts, but please write whatever you see fit, I’d be happy with anything!

I was equally shocked and thrilled when the plan to distract John in Harrow ended up being Augustine and Mercymorn teaming up to make out with him! They’re all terrible people and yet Mercymorn and Augustine managed to team up to go behind John’s back. I’d love anything that explores their tangled relationship between all three of them, from Augustine and Mercymorn having moments of still loving John, to John not realizing that his Lyctors are scheming to kill him, to Augustine and Mercymorn figuring out a plan (however grudgingly). Anything with these three would be wonderful, including dub/noncon and consensual smut if you’re inclined!

They're such a tangled mess of hatred and scheming over several thousand years and I'd love to see more of that on display. Anything would be great, inlcuding consentual and dub/noncon smut if you're inclined!

Show me the various times they lashed out at each other either in petty ways or in ways that would've ended in murder if they weren't Lyctors or maybe it was very rough hate sex. Or, what about the times they managed to grudgingly agree to a truce?

Working out their feelings about their cavaliers being dead. Maybe they have angsty hate sex or they end up distracting each other in other ways!
