Stork Swap 2021

Dear Stork Swap Creator,

Hi, thanks for signing up (or volunteering to be a pitch hitter)! I love the exchange theme of characters having babies of their own and can't wait to see what you'll come up with. This letter is meant to be an overview of the things I like, and aside from my DNWs, it's 100% optional. I've added a pregnancy likes section to give some thoughts on what I enjoy the most about babies and/or pregnancy tropes but that's also optional.

For pregnancy as a whole, I'm the most interested in the drama and conflict of it happening at a important time for a character or during a not ideal time for a relationship. I'm fine with anything from PWP involving conception to the characters dealing with the fallout of being pregnant and having a baby.

For the babies themselves, I like the parents meeting the baby for the first time and becoming attached to their child, but I'd prefer the bulk of the story to be centered around the parents' relationship and pregnancy instead of focusing on raising the baby. I'm fine with miscarage scares with the baby turning out to be okay. For abortion, I'd prefer that it doesn't actually happen, but I'm fine with characters seriously considering it and not going through it for whatever reason.

Some of my requests and prompts might be short but please note that I want them just as much as my longer requests. Don't worry about fitting my prompts exactly in any of my requests as I welcome different ideas with my requested pairings.   • I'm open to fic rated from G to E. In terms of fic length, I love anything from the small to long epics. For all of my requests, feel free to mix up the freeforms or prompts as you wish.
  • I like all kinds of genres and tone! Exploring emotions in narratives is a big draw for me, be it about dark themes or more lighthearted themes.
  • I love seeing how characters view the world around them and how they interact with others, positive or negative. Plotty fic would be great but I'm also just as happy with more introspective stories.

Smut Likes

  • As far as sex goes in general, I like any combination of anal, oral, rimming (for m/m), vaginal sex, breast/nipple play, handjobs, and fingering (in no particular order). I also enjoy slightly unrealistic sex. Sex that's unrealistic in terms of how much a character can come, how fast they can get it up, and handwaving that because it's magic/superpowers/alien biology is perfectly fine with me.

  • For vocabulary, I generally enjoy more explicit terms than flowery language and prefer "come" over "cum". Unless specified, I have no preferences about top/bottom dynamics. When it comes to smut, I love seeing focus on the emotions between characters, what the sex means for them, or general intense feelings.

General Smut Likes:
  • Clothing — Clothes being ripped/torn or rumpled ○ Clothed/naked sex ○ Removing clothing just enough to access what they want ○ Both parties staying clothed (or partially-clothed) during sex and attention to it ○ Focus on suits, uniforms, gloves, stockings, etc. ○ Characters undressing and dressing up ○ Sharing clothes (by accident or on purpose) ○ Using clothing as a gag or way to tie someone up ○ Immaculate characters becoming disheveled; messy characters dressing up for an occasion ○ Choosing clothes for partner as kink/foreplay

    • By non-canon divergence, I mean alternate universes that change the setting and rules of the canon universe such as mundane AUs, A/B/O, IN SPACE! AUs, etc. or makes major changes to relationships such as making characters suddenly related (or vice versa).
  • Unrequested identity headcanons (gender, race, other) (Assuming flexibility with canon sexuality is fine.)
  • Pregnant with more than two babies.
  • Using animal terms to refer to a pregnancy or baby (kit, pup, litter, etc.)
  • Referring to the male pregnant partner as "mom" in a serious way. Jokes about them being the mother is perfectly fine but I'd prefer that "mom" isn't the default term for the pregnant male parent even if there's another male parent in the picture.

What I’d like to see in fic: Draco/Harry is one of my oldest pairings and I love the push and pull in their canon interactions.

I would love to get anything involving their school years, dealing with the war, “eighth year”, or fic where they’re both young adults post-war. I'm a huge sucker for plots that deal with a character finding out they're pregnant while not being in a fully committed relationship with the other. Anything dealing with the fact that they never expected to be pregnant (or that they even could get pregnant) and having to figure out what to do next would also be great. I love seeing the potential angst and conflict of trying to figure out how to tell the other that they're a parent or what they should do next and their relationship growing from there.

I’m good with either of them topping/bottoming, or switching between Harry and Draco, including the pregnant character topping in penetrative sex.

A note on timeline: I would prefer for the timeline to be kept the same until fifth year, but beyond that, please feel free to explore what you want with Draco/Harry! (I also don’t mind flashbacks or brief moments to the two of them being younger.)

What I’d like to see in fic: This is my request for complicated and twisted loyalty tropes. Basically, I’m interested in any variation on the ship! I'm mostly imagining these characters to be at least 18 or older for the "main story" but I wouldn't at all be opposed to scenes of when they're younger (I'd love if they had some sort of past together!). I'm picturing this pairing to be in a fantasy flavored setting but I'm good with just about anything, really.

I’m very here for bitter feelings between the two along with any sort of messy miscommunication or growing conflict. Even better if they’re still attached to each other in some way even if they don’t want to be. I’d love seeing any sort of codependency. I’d be happy with any exploration of how their relationship goes, from betrayal from either side, to the best friend deciding to stay loyal to the hero, warts and all, or even them continuing their relationship after a betrayal.

I'd love to see how a baby complicates their relationship! Does the Best Friend end up pregnant right in the middle of their crisis of faith? Or maybe the baby was wanted by both of them for political reasons at first? Maybe the baby makes the characters decide to make up while they're on the rocks with their relationship or things end on a bittersweet note and the Best Friend ends up being a single parent? What I’d like to see in fic: I adore Keith and Shiro's devotion towards each other and their long history as friends. I'd enjoy anything from the fic taking place in a nebulous time where they were piloting the lions and had the castleship before Shiro was transported and replaced with a clone to post war where their enemies are defeated (or after episode one of s7 and handwaving the rest).

I'd love to get anything involving one of them being pregnant (maybe mpregnancy is considered impossible for humans or they didn't think that they could ever get pregnant even if it's a known thing) and what the two of them should do from there. I'm a sucker for plots that involve pregnancy with the characters not yet being in a fully committed relationship. Maybe it was an accident from sleeping together on a whim and they're worried about how the other person might react, or it was a result of alien biology, or they haven't had the chance to tell the other how they really feel. Anything involving pregnancy during a dangerous time such as in the middle of the war would also be welcomed.

For smut, I have a slight preference for Keith bottoming, but I also enjoy switching, including things like having the pregnant character top in penetrative sex.

A note on timeline: I talked about some more options above, and I'm flexible with any time period in their history together, but if you're interested in doing post war (or close enough to that) fic, I'd strongly prefer that Krolia, Kosmo, and Romelle are around and the ending events of s6 (and episode one of s7) happened.

A note on other characters and ships: I especially enjoy Allura, Hunk, and Lance as side characters, but you can include any character you'd like. It would be cute for Allura and Lance to give Shiro and/or Keith pregnancy advice if they're already parents post-war, but that's completely optional.
